Excel default network printer Problem

Hello dear forum,

 

I'm a desk engineer and this is my first time I use the LTT forum because I cannot find an anwser to a problem that one of our clients is experiencing.

 

The problem is in Excel 2016. The Client is a pretty big company with 2 dedicated printservers. One of the departments who all have the same default networkprinter selected have to wait several seconds before Excel selects the default printer to print a certain spreadsheet. It just says 'Looking for available printers'. After a few seconds it then automaticaly selects the defealt printer. I already reinstalled the printer and this does not solve the problem. This problem does not occur in Word, Outlook, Chrome, ... It is also present even if the Excel file is new and empty.

 

I hope to find a possible solution through this way of communication :)
