Hi, I just built a pc in the CM H500. It comes with 2 preinstalled 200mm rgb fans, and a 1 to 3 splitter. My RGB motherboard (Asus TUF B450) has an Aura Sync RGB header. I have tried to plug the splitter into the RGB header, and the fans into the other end of the splitter. But the fans won’t light up, and nothing shows up in the Aura software. The only way I can get the fans to light up is to use the included RGB controller that came with the CM case. But using the controller means I can’t sync it up with Aura. How can I sync up my fans to Aura?

Bonus Question: I have a Zotac 1070 Ti AMP! Extreme, is there any way at all I can sync that with Aura as well?

Thanks!

Hi there,

This is something i only found out about the hard way recently myself. There is RGB then there is addressable RGB, these fans require the controller and a button on the case to operate.

This is what the coolermaster website says

RGB Control: Onboard button on the RGB Controller or via the Reset Switch (1x 1-to-3 RGB Splitter Cable Included)"

I bought a corsair ll120 fan and plugged it into an rgb header to find out that it wouldn't work without the corsair controller which was not included in the single fan packs, only in the triple fan packs, i read the box and in small letters it says the individual fans are only intended as "expansion packs", very irritating for a $50 fan...

Anyway if you plug the fans into the splitter then controller and then to the case that should work i think.
