After Effects Help?

So I am having an issue with after effects CS5.5. (Note: fairly new but got the basics down) When I drag the current time indicator in the timeline, my composition doesn't animate with it. It just appears where you place the indicator. Any help to fix this? Thanks in advance,

EDIT: Nevermind figured it out. For those newbies (like me) who may have the same issue, there should be a button by the search for the layer that if you hover over says live update.
