Did you figure anything out here? my 5960x will not go over 4.5. Period. Low voltage, 1.24 (I think). but absolutely nothing stable. I did have a very similar problem with mine, but it was the graphics driver I think. As google home page would be fine until it loaded a search. Anything graphical would crash it (load EPIC or discord and CRASH). dropped my overclock by 100mhz to 4.4 and no problem and rock solid.

Bump the voltage up to stock 1.237v see if that works.
