Question about Raid

Go to solution Solved by SkyHound0202,

Hypothetically you can use Windows 10's Storage Spaces feature to create a simple pool (software RAID 0) with an existing hardware array and a foreign disk, but that offers zero redundancy and is more prone to drive failure, not to mention it still requires fully wiping the drives.

You're better off buying a separate high capacity drive instead of thinking about an 8 TB software array. It's much reliable and won't risk your data.
