GPU OC doesnt do much

I OCed my MSI lowprofile GTX 1050 ti and I am not seeing any changes in game. 

My FPS is the same. You are probably going to say I am a noob tho.

Is this a small OC, I expected an increase in FPS like +5 or 10 but its the same. 

I have an I5 3570 , 12GB ram and an 850 evo ssd

In real life applications, you honestly don't see a consistent increase in FPS, if any, depending on the game.  Have you tried it on a variety of titles?  Have you run synthetic tests on both settings?  

 

For example, with my Vega 56 at total stock settings, I average around 92 FPS on Shadow of the Tomb Raider.  With my most aggressive OC, it'll average closer to 95 FPS.  But, my synthetic test scores are dramatically better with my OC on.  In a game like, Nier: Automata, that has a capped FPS of 60, my OC helps mainly because of the extra VRAM gained by the OC, so there is no stuttering or tearing during busy battles.  In Evil Within II, I usually get an average FPS boost of closer to 8.  So, it depends on the titles and application.
