Hi All,

So my problem is my I change all my settings to low in games my gpu clock goes from 2038 all the way down to as low as 1200 ish, and then will jump between 1200 and 1544 sometime hitting 1700- 1800 hz but rarely.

When I have my settings low my cpu usage is only about 60ish % and jumps to about 80% this is what msi afterburner says, taskmanager shows my cpu usage at 80% to 87% sometimes going into 90 but there is always a difference between figures.

what happens when gaming is my gpu usage is about 35-43 % and my cpu shows about 60%. when im gaming what will happen is the fps never seems to be a steady 300 it seems to be like 297 but what will happen my fps drops more and more … so it will drop as low as 80 fps and then never go over 210 but my core clock is down at like 1544hz and I get micro stutters all the time while gaming.

even when I first load my pc it feels to lag

I have a i7 4790k

gpu is a 1080 ti

m.2 drive with 2100 read 1500 read

any idea??

So... when does it do it? What games? What resolution?

Are you watching the temps? And the per core usage of the cpu? Is anything overclocked.

running 1080p and all my temps are fine ... temps are like 30-43 gpu and cpu like 40-47 cpu is water cooled.

i tested my mates 1060 6gb in my pc and it was hitting 300 fps no problem ... but the cpu was about 60-70% usage again but the gpu never downclocked and when i mean down clocked this was to the 35% usage i am getting and low cpu usage but was at 90-99% usage... when my gpu the 1080ti was in my mates pc he has a i3 8100 cpu and it was bottlenecking his cpu at like 95-97 usage on the cpu and the core clocks never fell.

both the cpu and gpu is oced 4.8 on cpu  with 1.345v and its very stable never had any crashes or anything.

and gpu is running at 100+ on core and 500 on the memory but i have taken off all the oc's and its still doing the same
