eset security?

This ESET security came preloaded on my exes New laptop. Is it useful or should I just dump it and use Windows defender?

I am more comfortable with Linux ,so sorry if I sound like grandma setting up her email.

My dad uses that security software and runs pretty fine

 

Better than windows defender for sure
