GPU upgrade

I've a 1060 3gb and a i7 6700 rn and I'm thinking of getting a new GPU without breaking the bank any reccomendations ? I've a 1080p 60hz atm but getting a 144hz 1080p in the next few months.

I mostly play esports games and I will be playing a few aaa games but not at full settings

Current PC and Peripherals

CPU: i7 6700

CPU cooler: Cryorig H7

GPU: Evga RTX 2070

Memory: 16gb Corsair RGB

HDD: 1tb WD blue

SSD: 120gb Kingston

Headphones: Hyper x Cloud

Keyboard: Logitech g810

Mouse: Logitech g502

Monitor: Aoc 60hz

 

Other tech I own

iPhone 8

Edifier Prisma

Amazon echo dot

Apple Airpods

Go Pro Hero 7

Wait untill after CES. We have a high probability of GPU announchments/teasers from bpth Nvidia and AMD

(had to fix spelling because that's the way I am)

I think CPUs from AMD are more likely but for sure Navi might be revealed

AMD has said they will be tackling both CPU and GPUs during their keynote.

 

Fo various reasons we might have an earlier Navi release than first thought

 

Still need to see what actually happens at CES. It is still worth waiting for.

I might get on the AMD train soon, they sure look like they got a good thing going for them right now, and I hope it stays that way. Their market share is looooong overdue.

Good idea, the 1070s in general are seeing big price drops, although you may opt for a stock 1070 over a Ti, people tend to be finicky about the price difference by a large margin, and it could easily meet your demands.

AMD will probably use CES to promote everything theyve got. Its a major event with a lot of mediacoverage. If they can crush their competition they can get a lotnof mindshare
