3mm rgb LED

Is it possible get 3mm RGB LEDs? I know that about a year ago, it wasn't, but after some search on google, it seems like is. No idea if they are 3mm tho. I need 3mm LEDs for some modification, I'm going to make to some XSPC waterblocks (only 3mm will fit).

 

Another questing. If I connect an on/off switch to the common cathode, will it turn the led on and off, or doesn't it work like that with RGB LEDs?

On the switch front, I think that'll work. On the purchasing front, GOOGLE SHOPPING IS YOUR FRIEND.

Just make sure to buy the RGB LEDs that have 4 prongs. That way you can control the colour. If you get 2 prongs, it'll alternate at a factory set speed and flash through the whole colour spectrum.

Yeah, that's my problem I'm not sure if I can get a 3mm RGB LED with 4 prongs.

Yeah, those are the 4 prong ones. But you should search on ebay because alibaba had a bad reputation for fraud and have pretty high MOQs.

Alibaba is a site that connects you with manufactures, its not a storefront, so unless you are planning on ordering in bulk you don't want to shop from there. I've ordered a few things in bulk thru Alibaba and haven't had any issues, but its all about who you end up dealing with and Alibaba cannot control that, just make sure they have a good reputation before getting too excited.

Starting to look like a bulk buy could be profitable if there was demand lol.

you could get a bitfenix alchemy light and mod the res to fit the leds
