Hey is it normal for my graphics card to fans to grind? They’ve been doing this out of the box and the card works perfectly. They only grind when they are spinning down after the computer has been shut down

That's not normal at all. You should probably check if there is any potential obstruction in the way of the fans spinning. I had a similar problem with my R9 280, and it was because I had a zip tie that I forgot to cut stuck in it when I was cable managing my system. If this keeps happening for some reason, just contact the vendor or manufacturer for troubleshooting/RMA/returns

I thought I had some money... Oh wait... I spent it all ;(

It’s literally been doing it from day one  it only does it when the fan spin down like when they’re at probably 15 RPM not when the system is on.  Only after it as been shut down

That's really odd, especially because of the circumstances when it comes to when it happens. I had a problem like that, but only at random intervals, and never when it was powering down for seemingly an entirely different reason. And that sucks that you've had bad experiences with cards, but resolving the issue with the manufacturer ASAP will help you get rid of the problem as soon as possible, so I apologize for the inconvenience, but I would recommend contacting them in case there is anything they can do about it without you having to send it in

All right, yeah what would you do if you were me? I already talked to them and they said they didn’t really know what it was it runs amazing during gaming and it’s a great card. The fans never make noise ever and temperatures are good. It’s just that very very odd scenario in which they will make any type of noise

I guess I would just keep going until something worse happens, because it seems that it doesn't have an affect on performance, and is very isolated in terms of its occurrence. I didn't know if you contacted them, so I assume they may have a software fix for the issue somehow, but since you did, I now know that the issue couldn't be resolved without wasting time RMAing it, so I would just enjoy your card for the time being

OK, do you think it is good enough for a triple monitor set up? I have a picture of my set up
