My budget is around 300-400 euro, would be willing to add a bit more, but not by much unless it's something unworldly.

 

Would mostly use for gaming (mmo, rpg, moba, light fps), movies, youtube and browsing. Based in Ireland so i guess I'd have to look on eu or uk sites. Any info would be helpful.

Can i play movies on both in 4k and is there a better option for that price?

yea as long as you have 4k content and have the ability to send 4k to it. as for better options nether have hdr they are both just uhd....that would be the only other option to look at if you wanted it
seeing you were going to game on it. do you have a gpu that can do 4k gaming? i have a amd 380 (for now) and movies and such on a 4k is perfect..gaming thou is another story. 2k at most otherwise still 1080 gaming with it on a 4k tv

Yea i have a new rig so powering the monitor shouldn't be an issue with a 2080.

 

Would you recommend more a 4k with hdr or a 3440x1440 ultra wide.

 

The size i would be looking for is 32 or 34 inch

honestly this would be to me more preference...both i guess have plus and minuses....4k hdr awesome picture, everything fits except some movies....they end up with a black bar on top and bottom..........ultra wide,... movies actually fit the whole screen...but then normal shows and some games when set to that res have a stretched look. or the show will have black lines on each side............so really its what you want and can deal with
