So I have this brand new sapphire pulse amd rx 580 8gb. Everything about it is great. The issue though is that it requires an 8 pin connector. Me though, I have a 4 pin. So here is my question, is it okay to use a 4 pin connector for the 8pin outlet on the graphics card?

Are you trying to plug it in with the right cable? What power supply is it?

wait...are you talking about the flat 4 pin plug?
a video card uses a 6 pin or and a 8 pin...if your power supply doesnt have these you need a new power supply with gpu plugs on it
and if your using a 4 pin plug with adapter to power that card  your going to have issues
