PLAN Z

i have a cpu cooler that just wont fit my mobo and i have no way to get new brackets for it (trust me ive been searching for 7 hours) so ive come to the final plan........i will use thermal paste adhesive to glue the heatsink onto my cpu!!!!!! dont worry about the two being stuck together for life the cpu is worth 12 dollars!!!!! so my question is......will the thermal paste adhesive work well as normal thermal paste would???? also would it be strong enough to keep my heatsink on it??????below is the paste i am looking at!

my guess that it says why its not for a cpu is because they will be stuck forever! that would be good for me in my case so unload your thoughts!!!!!

Sounds like it Yeah. I expect it will work but it might be a bit difficult to apply to the CPU if it's more/less viscous than normal paste. If you don't care about the CPU or heatsink then go for it I say. Also depending on the motherboard you might not be able to remove the cpu without taking off the heatsink, in which case you won't ever be able to take any of it apart. I'm guessing this is a old PC though so that doesn't matter I guess.

yeah i have a 50 dollar pc build going and with enough craigslist and charisma i managed to get my hands on all this spending under 55

hp compaq pro 6005 mobo

evga 500w psu

athlon II x4 645 cpu

deepcool 3 tube heatsink+ fan

MSI GTX 750ti

samsung 850 pro 128gb ssd

2 large rgb fans

I have no clue as to how lucky ive been on getting all this in under 55 but i honestly think it will be able to run the game RUST at low settings and if so i will be very pleased!!!!!!

but yeah i just wanted to make sure that thermal adhesive would work as well as the normal thermal paste in terms of performance and heat!
