Issues with Full Screen Games

So when I try and load up a full screen game it either crashes or it tabs me out and I can't really play the game. So far this has happened whilst I play Mount and Blade : Warband, like it tabs me out when I do anything, and I can't load into HOI4 after a fresh install of it and no mods. My main monitor is a 40 inch TV that I mounted to the wall and it runs in HDMI, and it has a custom resoultion of 1842x1048. Then the rest of my monitors are noraml 1080p monitors, one HDMI and the other DVI. Any help is greatly appreciated.

1. Do you have this problem with your other monitors disabled?

never tried it, this has only happened since ive started using the tv as a monitor
