Audio "Ghosting" issue

So today, I was just watching a video and I noticed that there was this weird sound, as if there were two videos running simeltaniously very slightly off from one another. It started to really bother me, but this happened for any video I watched. I was wondering if any of you have experienced this problem and know how to fix it. Something else to note was that not that long ago I was connected to a Bluetooth speaker. Just in case that makes a difference. Ideas?

I've had this problem too. I think it might be that in your source audio mixer in OBS you've chosen MONITOR and OUTPUT so you're hearing both and output has a slight delay. Try changing all your source audio to either Monitor Off if you have no source for that monitor and for the things like your mic and your other actual audio sources you set the mixer to Monitor Only (mute output). That's a step in the right direction any way. It's also a good idea to check these settings if you have source(s) you can't get any sound from but the sound is in your stream/recording. You might have Monitor Off where you want Monitor Only.
Similarly if you use Voicemeeter Banana and accidentally choose the same input device in two places you could end-up with a kind of sound version of an infinity mirror effect.
IF by chance you stumble across settings that work (because basically stumbling upon this stuff is almost the only way to get it right...ugh) make sure you document all the settings not JUST the numbers and levels mind you but also which overlay you used and on and on. Maybe you'll be able to more easily repeat your success from your notes next time. Maybe.

Hm. I hate to tell you, but I'm on a Chrome OS laptop, and I don't have OBS (on this). I'm not having the problem anymore, though, so it was probably just a bug.
