So I've been taking apart my GPU to fit a nzxt g12 on my GTX 1080 ive been using a Phillip's #1 I've striped one of the screws that hold PCB to the cooler, what should I do. I have tried the rubber band trick but it has not worked :(

that's how i killed my 980ti strix

i had to drill through the screw to remove it, and it went terribly bad...NZXT G12 ended up to mount to the card in the end, but the card was dead...what i would recommend is: sell the bracket to the most offering and forget about it unless you don't mind potentially killing your card.

What I like to do is put a nut on the screw that fits tightly and use an apoxy to bind them together and then use a ratchet or something to unscrew the nut that sticks to the screw

well...i guess i should've asked you ? you're a genius!

I just try my best to help people out ?

next time i strip a screw on anything, i'll be thinking about you and if it's fragile in anyways, instead of drilling through it i will glue a nut on it and use a wrench...thanks for that ;)

Which bitsize did you use? When you use the correct one it is very, very hard to strip a screw.
I believe these screws are usually PH1, and if you would use something like a J0, J1 or PH0 it is pretty easy to damage the screw.

Got to agree with you here - @Chaarliie are you sure you're using PH1 and not PZ1? They look similar, but have a different blade profile...
