1060 low mhz

I was playing BF1 and i was getting around 70-80 fps low everything off, i checked the speeds and my 1060 (mobile 6gb) is running at around 550 mhz with the memory being 400 mhz, everything is set to performance, help? My components arnet heating up.

few suggestions

 

1. the classic UpDATE yOUr bIOS

2. see if your gpu is being undervolted somehow

3. use msi afterburner and see if you can somehow improve the mhz by increasing the voltage limit and doing an oc

 

4. return it and buy a new one (if the above options fail)

1. plugging it into a wall

2. doing a hard shutdown, wait for the components to cool off, restart the laptop (sometimes laptops will start thermal throttling and stay throttled even after the temp issue has been resolved)

2. doing a hard shutdown, wait for the components to cool off, restart the laptop (sometimes laptops will start thermal throttling and stay throttled even after the temp issue has been resolved)

 

i played yesterday and samee problem, fired up my laptop n still same problem

was it plugged into  a wall or running of internal battery?

idk then maybe take it to a shop and have someone take a look at it

how did you check GPU and VRAM clocks? At 550MHz core clock you wont be getting 70-80 fps at 1080p for sure.

now im on 1400 mhz and on 1080p low n other settings off im only getting 80 fps

oh i forgot to mention, through my laptop's software
