Ok so without going into a bunch of detail I impulse bought a 2080ti but the application I was gonna use it on is flawed so now I’m gonna build a gaming pc cause I gotta use this card for something. I currently only have the GPU and a Corsair rm850x. So guess I’m looking for recommendations on what I should buy for components. My budget is loosely 1000-1500 but it’s not set in stone. That only needs to be used for the tower, monitor and other peripherals are handled. I’m strictly looking to game, not gonna stream. I’m leaning towards using a 8700k processor but besides that I’m pretty open, suggestions? I should also mention I’m in Canada

I'd go for Ryzen 7, personally.

A 2700x isn't too far from an 8700K in gaming performance to mean much of a difference to me(again, personally).

The i7-9700K is only about CA$40 more than the i7-8700K which makes it a better option in my opinion.
