7.2ch surround

Why do pc only go up to 7.1ch, and why don't they go 7.2ch surround sound Front Left, Front right, center, sound Left, sound Right, Rear back Left, Rear back Right, Sub Left and Sub Right, i got a 2450 watt 7.2ch Home theater system, which is a lot lot better than a 7.1ch, which those system are unbalanced only a single subwoofer doesn't look right, i prefer 7.2 the point 2 is sub left sub right.

You can buy a splitter for this. They take the signal that goes to your front speakers and rout the low frequencies to the subs. Mine is for regular speaker cables, but I'm sure you can get them for the pc audio outputs too.

Most people dont really have 7.2 so companies dont see the point in supporting it.. was a pain to get my system working (10.2.2) -_-

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)
