It seems that every time I've tried to install the latest AMD Chipset Drivers I get confused and I'm not really sure I ever actually update anything.

I just downloaded Chipset Drivers from Gigabyte for my GA-AX370-Gaming K5 Motherboard, their latest BIOS says you NEED the latest chipset drivers so I want to get this updated.  However when I try to install the Chipset Drivers the auto-detect seems to indicate I'm installing a MUCH older version of the drivers.  Namely it indicates version 17.12.  I'm trying to Install 18.10.20.02.  AMD's website lists the newest set as 18.10.1810.  When I just pushed forward and selected the 17.12 (figuring maybe it was just an error) I checked the versions of the different drivers being installed. The "new" versions match the version I currently have installed when checked with Device Manager.  So it seems like I'm stuck on some older version.

Does anyone know what is going on here? Am I doing something wrong? I don't see why the brand new drivers I just installed today don't seem to be trying to install themselves.

The software is good about comparing and telling you which is newer or older.  You may need to mouse over each driver and see what it displays, but it should indicate if your installed version is up-to-date when compared to what you're trying to install.

Also, look at the left to see what's currently installed (it says so under the version number) and what's on the right is the installer you're attempting to use.

I'm sorry, there is no way I can put this that doesn't sound mean, Did you look at the screenshots at all? They clearly show I did exactly that and that the "new" version isn't the newer one.

This seems to be an issue with the drivers Gigabyte is putting out.  I downloaded the latest ones from AMD directly (18.10.1018) and installed those without issue.  So I'm TRYING to contact Gigabyte now, which seems to be an exercise in futility.
