Hi!
Recently I've run into an unusual problem: after I boot up my computer, it gets to the windows loading screen, then the screen goes black and the monitor enters its "power saving mode". After a reset though it works perfectly fine. I've searched this and other forums for similar problems, and I tried what I found there (turning off fast boot in windows & in BIOS), but nothing seemed to work. This started happening after I recently installed a new GPU, but I didn't notice it at first. Sometime after this I connected a second HDD to my computer to pull up some data, and that's when I started seeing the problem occur, even after disconnecting the second HDD. PC specs are:

Motherboard: ASUS H81M-K
CPU: Intel i5-4460
Memory: Kingston HyperX 8GB DDR3 1600MHz (2 x 4GB)
Video card: ASUS GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
PSU: Corsair VS Series 550W 80 Plus white certified
HDD: Western Digital Blue, 1TB, 7200 RPM (~3 years old)

Also, I don't know if it's worth mentioning, but my monitor is quite old and only supports VGA input, so I'm using an active HDMI-VGA adapter for connecting my video card to my monitor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
