I’ve just replaced the old zotac 1060 mini in my pc with a evga 2070 and I am now having trouble with my cpu idling at 70c  (normally at 40c) and peaking at 90c under light load, my cpu is cooled with a 120mm aio that i am unable to mount in any position but the rear of the case in its current configuration of a a pull through exhaust due to the cd drive and ram in either of the possible top mounted positions. I have a single 120mm fan I can reposition from its original position, the top, to the bottom of the case. I am unsure of how to reconfigure this system such that I can get proper cooling for both my gpu and cpu.

Hardware relavent to problem

Case: Corsair 230t

Cpu cooler: Lepa aquacharger 120

Are you pulling air from inside the case to the outside or from outside to the inside?

Does CPU temp decrease when you reduce GPU clocks via overclock software? Try to narrow down the cause.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Yes, sorry for the delay, had to put the computer back together. Yes dropping the clock speed on the gpu is dropping temps on the cpu.

edit: had to shut the pc down again, the issue starts right as the fan attached to the radiator starts trying to cool the radiator temps then skyrocket from 50-60c to 80-90c
