Intel 620 graphics & memory

I'm currently running on a HP probook with a core i5 8th gen cpu and 1x4gb of ddr4 ram intel 620 graphics the is using my ram as vram

i'm planning to upgrade to 12gb of ram (1x4gb & 1x8gb) will it be better to use 2x 4gb sticks of ram rather than 4 and 8 gb sticks of ram??
