Shotty Network/Internet Performance

As of late, when my PC has been running for a few days, uploading & downloading files seems to be rather difficult for the computer.

Some examples include: when using a program like ShareX, a file uploader, an upload may get stuck at 10% and then error; YouTube videos will sometimes freeze when loading (black video box and 0Kbps download when viewed in HWiNFO64) along with some other HTML page elements failing to load; uploading to google drive.  Other things, like games, appear to behave normally (though they don't have high network usage in the first place, so it just may not be as evident).

An interesting thing to add is that sometimes these network 'blockages' or 'freezes' will be relieved when I visit a network speed testing website (like speedtest.net) or restart my PC.

I don't really understand the cause of some of these network 'hiccups' and I would very much appreciate it if one of you could help me!

Some other details:

-Wired Ethernet Connection (CAT5)

-Provider: AT&T over fiber

Thank you

3 things to look into are Hardware, Software, and ISP:

Hardware - Physical router (if you're not familiar with networking equipment, ISP tech support is best), cable (test with a different one)

Software - Check for windows updates and driver updates for your ethernet interface

ISP - General tech support troubleshooting, see if they can find an issue and fix it

Sadness is the one true emotion, and happiness, well, that's just a lie, sadness is all many of us feel, and is all we need to feel, because having it any other way, would just be wrong, why be happy when you can just be miserable like myself.

On a speed testing website it averages 375Mbps down 350Mbps up.  When the computer is having issues with the speeds, the download speed drops to 200Mbps (tragic, I know) and the upload drops to 0Mbps (most of the time, the speedtest website will end the test prematurely and tell me to check my firewall, which doesn't make sense if it was working fine beforehand).

How is the performance of other devices when your PC is having these issues?

Type this in command when you are having the issue so I can determine a little better whats happening:

ping 192.168.1.1 -t -w 1

*replace IP with whatever your router is.
