Intel optane issues.

Heya guys,

 

So I've just done a new w build pc all new but my sshd and ssd, my is stored on my sshd btw.

When I try and run the application for optane to set up it just says motherboard configuration issues. The board I got was the gigabyte z370p d3 specifically because it said intel optane ready. (note to self not optane ready) I spoke to intel and they said change a setting in the bios to disabled and it'll work but when I do it just bootloops back to the bios.

The other thing I've noticed is that my task manager says 6.8/24.9GB I only have 2x8gb installed 

Anyone any ideas?

Depending on what you went with. Smaller Optane drives are for caching.

That's the idea of optane right? To act as a cache but there is software to set it up.
