Hi everyone,

I'm looking for the best thermal PAD (not paste), it should be ~5mm thick and electrically non conductive.

Do you guys have any advice. It would be great if I could get "the best thermal conductive" and/or "the best value" recommendation.

Thanks in advance!

5mm is fairly thick for a thermal pad most are usually around 0.5-2mm, ideally thinner the better. As for some of the best out there the Thermal grizzly stuff is very good but comes with the price.

Thanks W-L! I read about thermal grizzly and that their stuff is very good (probably the best I could get), but the price is quite hefty.

Is there any budget-friendly pads you can recommend? Also is it possible to use two layers/fold the pad, to achieve 5mm thickness or is that a dumb idea?  :)

Some good affordable options such as EKWB's or the ones from 3M are quite good. As for the thickness you shouldn't be using thermal pads in that case since it's so thick, you can but not the best application for it.
