There haven't really been bios updates for Haswell era boards for a long time, and it isn't an OC board either. So if you just want to throw in a cheap CPU and go, should be fine.

 

BTW I notice they're £25 on ebuyer and Amazon UK. Almost makes me think about it as a cheap compute solution.

thats the board i have, its potentially going to be a 1080p medium/high system for COD and CSGO

Get a decent CPU and I can't see any major problems with it being a value oriented solution. Did you have a CPU in mind?

 

I'm kinda curious myself as I have a spare Haswell i3 CPU and ram, so the mobo is all I need to get another system going.

 

Oh, I've also looked at the bios available for the mobo. The latest release is from 2014, was mining even a serious thing then? Beta bios from this year has microcode updates, presumably for Spectre/Meltdown.
