My fan on it keeps ramping up and down when it's not being used it's a gtx 730 any idea why it's doing this it is in a windows 7 sp1 Intel core  2 quad CPU q9400 other specs it's a acer aspire x 3910 with 4 gb ram 64 bit operating system this is a new card for this system I've also tried putting windows 10 on it but it messed up making me factory reset the PC

Are you using fan controller software like MSI Afterburner or EVGA PRECISION or the default that comes with windows?

 

Also did you update your graphics driver into the 400's?

If so -being as the card is a 700 series model you could go back to driver 399.24 -since those older cards have less support in newer drivers.

I didnt and it wont let me upgrade to the 400 drivers ,using the default that came with windows I can get msi afterburner but not sure how to use it with the current config I have
