Hi guys! My desktop keeps crashing (always BSOD's, no hangs or anything like that) every time I play a game, benchmark, or do anything that stresses the system. Even having multiple programs running at the same time (5-6) makes it crash. They are all random BSOD's (the error changes every time it crashes) and I have never had this problem until I updated Windows a few months ago (not sure what update it was, but it was before the 'October' anniversary update). Any suggestions (other than what I have already done, which is posted below) would be great! Thank you!

 

Specs:

CPU: A8-7650K (OC'd at 3.8ghz with a boost to 4.3. It is stable on this OC as I have ran it for a year like this before the crashing)

GPU: R7 250 (1075mhz on GPU, 950mhz on CPU in Afterburner)

RAM: 8gb DDR3 HyperX Savage 2133mhz

PSU: Rosewill 400w Switching Power Supply (Have had it for 4 years with no issues)

OS: Windows 10 Pro v 1803 (Build 17134.407)

I have the most up-to-date BIOS for my rig and the most recent GPU drivers. I clean install every time.

 

Things I have done:

Clean the system with air canister

DISM commands

SFC commands

chkdsk

CCLEANER (not that it would have helped anything, but worth a shot)

Ran memtest (other than a few things that normally come up, it found nothing)

Always first thing to test is to undo any and all overclocks, if the problem persists than that can be easily ruled out, you have gone through the trouble shooting tasks I would have recommended already

I know you say the errors are random but what are they?

did you do any driver changes before this happened?

I did no driver updates before and immediately after the update. I updated the GPU drivers and other things that were out of date to rule those out, and while it seems marginally more stable, it still crashes a lot under load.
