Best ultrawide high refresh rate monitor?

So I currently have a regular old 1080p 60Hz 27" monitor and I want to upgrade. I currently don't have space for a dual or triple screen setup so I'm looking for a large ultrawide monitor (27" or bigger) with a high refresh rate and I'd like to have G-sync as well. I don't really care about TN vs IPS or whatever but I do want a low response time as I do a lot of gaming. I'd like to go up to 1440p as well so it can be a proper full upgrade but 1080p is accepted as well just to have options. Anything out there that I should take a look at? Price doesn't really matter right now because I can always save up to whatever is required.

No worries, doesn't hurt to ask. If you are saving up, there is also the chance that a new option will come out in the next few months.

 

I'm personally looking at the Acer X34, but haven't fully convinced myself that I need it.

The AOC Agon 35 is a great option if you care about price. If money is no object, go for the Alienware AW3418DW as it's the best gaming monitor on the market right now (IPS, G-Sync, 120HZ, 3440x1440)

If you're thinking about the X34, don't. Get the AOC Agon 35, as it's basically the same for $200 less.

I was also considering that but it is a VA panel, unlike the X34 which is an IPS panel.

IPS doesn't actually matter that much unless you're doing video production

Hahaha that is exactly why I picked IPS  Sorry, I forgot to mention why I am considering an IPS panel.

Occasionally. Been too busy with work and personal life. Looking to learn video and photo editing in my spare time.

Personally I'd spend the extra $50 and get the AW3418DW (20HZ extra refresh rate, better stand), but the X34 is... fine

I'm still on the fence about it so I might consider it if the price drops a bit.

It's only $50 more than the X34 right now but it does change randomly and the X34 is on sale so they're the same price from most places.

Don't know where you're at, but here where I live (East coast US) it is about $300 more than the X34. If it was only $50, I would definitely pick the AW3418DW.
