Need a router

Hey everyone.

Im in need of a router for my house. Currently have the pos modem router combo that shaw supplies and the wifi takes a dump the second a video is streamed. What do u guys recommend for a router thats not stupidly overpriced? THX

I'm not well versed in networking so I am following for suggestions as well. To help others recommend, give an actual price range because stupidly overpriced can mean different things to different people.

Im also not very good when it comes to networking. Im more of a pc harware guy so i really dont know what would be considered overpriced.
