Acer Extenza 2510 Screen upgrade

So last Friday I went with my mom to buy her a new laptop. We found one with reasonable specs for her needs and brought it home to set it up.

Upon booting, I noticed that the resolution of the display looked like something from 2006. Sadly, it wasn't something I could change in windows.

It's stuck at what they in the store called a HD resolution, which turned out to be 1366 x 768.

Today we brought it back to the store but they wouldn't take it back, because they couldn't sell a "used computer" because a new user wouldn't have the same setup experience. Ridiculous.

So I thought of upgrading the monitor to something 1080p.

Are there laptop screen standards, or are they proprietary?

Here's a link for the laptop.

According to this site, the connector is a 30 pin LED socket.

If possible to get replace the screen, where would I buy it?

I live in the EU btw.

Thanks in advance,

Marc

A lot of the stuff is often a foot in the middle of stuff.
