Monitor overclock?

KacperS

I have a aoc q2577pwq and it runs 2560x1440@60hz perfectly so i would like to overclock it but i dont know if its safe and if i can do it because my older samsung 1080p said "not optimum mode" when i tried to overclock it. If i can overclock it safely i'm aiming for 75hz and i also don't know what software i should use.

I used http://www.monitortests.com/forum/thread-custom-resolution-utility-cru to jump the resolution of monitor and it can do refresh rate but i haven't tried it.

Right click on desktop > Display settings > Advanced display settings > Display adapter properties > List all modes > Select your resolution and Hz > Done

I believe there's also settings for this in Catalyst Control Center and Intel's settings panel

Almost as cool as my temps

I knew you could change the resolution on a monitor but I didn't know this was called " Overclocking " lol I didn't even know you could over clock anything but your CPU, GPU, and RAM (  Random-Access-Memory -) before today lol . Thanks for informing me.
