250d 2.5 slot gpu

mapegl
Go to solution Solved by zapsyou,

The distance from mobo (bottom of pcie slot) to the bar is 130mm and my Asus DCii 780ti is approx 15mm too tall and that's 147mm.

Does anyone here know if a 2.5 slot gpu will fit in the 250D. I mean it looks like it, because there is a little bit of space between the 250D's sidepanel and the GPU, but would it be enough for the Phantom cooler?

I just google and it seems to fit those GPUs... but I'm worried about the side panel.

Someone tried with a Asus R9 series with Direct CU II cooler.

Do you mean the side panel or top panel? I heard about Direct CU II interfering with the top window, but the side is metal, so if it fits, it should work.

And thanks for the link! ;-)

I would be more worried about the bar shown just above the gpu in this photo it sits right where at the end of the second expansion slot so you'd have to check the height of any 2.5 slot card to see if it'll fit because it almost touches my 2 slot Asus dcii 780ti so if that was 2.5 slot it wouldn't fit.

The Asus Dc ii doesn't affect the top panel in anyway what so ever. I have a DCii 780ti and my friend has a DCii 780 both in 250d with no problems what so ever. That's just a rumor that came from some youtuber that didn't actually test.

Is that your machine? Is the DCU II cooler underneath that bear or on the same height? And if it exceeds it by any stretch, would you mind measuring that for me?

The Phantom cooler is a little bit lower (phantom: 112mm vs DCU II: 127mm). I am still planning to swtich to that small form factor and I would really like to ensure the components fit right away.

edit: just saw the corsair logo on the pic.....
