ASUS ARES II General Discussion

Would you guys buy one, or four as Linus mentioned at CES, he forgot to mention Asus ROG will only come out with 1000 of this card, Like the original Ares, and included a Laser Etched serial number, to identify the card number out of 1000, made. I wonder who will get number 1.

I was waiting for this card, as I heard it will be price around the same price as the GTX 690, and compared to the GTX 690, ASUS ROG recomends a minimum of 850W power supply with 3x 8 pin PCI power connectors. I was always a fan of amd eyefinity, as they were the first to come out with tripple monitor support on a single card, that cost less than $200, such as HD5770, when it was released. I curently have 2 x XFX HD5770 running in crossfire and was planning on getting a GTX 590, but luckly NCIX ran out of stock and i had to wait, and now I guess its worth the wait, because at first I was planning on getting the new Matrix HD 7970, but heard from a friend that works at NCIX Mississauga that I should wait, because ARES II is coming out very soon. Can't wait, really want to get one asap, as soon as its release, or a waiting list is generated, I will get it. This will be the top tier card when its released and AMD will take back the crown.

The Ares II even beats power color HD7990, with higher clock speeds, wow, good job ASUS.....
