i7-4790(non k) temps

is it normal for a i7-4790(non k) to idle with temps about 37c(98.6f) and when loading something like minecraft to hit temps of 84c(183.2f) bearing in mind it has a Intel stock cooler

I have an i7 4770 with an Intel stock cooler (and it does get a bit hot), but 84C running Minecraft is a bit too high tbh. Download Intel XTU, and try undervolting your CPU. That can drop temperatures significantly.

Seems completely fine to be. Assuming you are using something like real temp to see the readings. Not ai suite.

I have the exact cpu and same cooler my idle temp right now is 40C and when I am doing heavy gaming like BF5 its between 70-80C which is fine. I've read that at 90C its beginning to get critical. So everything till 85C is fine.

But still, the lower the better, since it will start throttling your CPU!

My Setup:
CPU: i7 4790 @3800 MHz, MB: MSI H87-G41, Grafik: Gigabyte GTX 1080TI, RAM: 2x 8GB DDR3 (1600), Storage: Samsung SSD 850 Evo
