Hi all, So I've recently upgraded to a PC. I changed the CPU, motherboard, RAM, boot SSD, GPU and HDD. This means the case, PSU and fans are all that are the same as the previous PC. The issue is that despite the PSU giving power (connected keyboard and LED light do light up plus can charge a phone just fine) the PC only turns on occasionally. Most of the time the power button does nothing. The first thing I assumed was a faulty power button or connector. So I removed the PWR cable and tried manually bridging the pins. Exact same scenario. After I noticed that the time would often be incorrect I decided to switch out the CMOS battery, unfortunately, that didn't seem to help. Tried setting BIOS settings to default and nothing (btw with stock settings the CPU severely underperforms.) When it is on, its fine. Also in prolonged gaming use so I'd assume the PSU is fine. Hi there, I've recently run into a problem and I'm unsure how to fix it - this involves my first BIOS. I had just built this PC a few days ago and just ran into this issue yesterday. I installed Windows, no other programs besides Windows updates, & that is it. By this time, the PC was problem-free. I shut it off after it was done, and then ran into the problem that my PC wouldn't start the next day- it had power, however. I was confused, and couldn't figure out how to get my PC to start; I noticed I had a dual BIOS switch, flipped it, and it started and booted absolutely no problem in the second BIOS with no issue whatsoever. When the switch is on the first BIOS and the computer is off, it refuses to start up, though. I only have indication that the PC has power due to the motherboard power LEDs. God forbid something happens in the future, I'd like to have both my BIOS functional. How can I fix this? I knew to turn here because I know there are quite a number of individuals that may be capable of helping with an issue like this one. To note, I have already tried re-flashing the first BIOS after booting with second BIOS whilst flipping the switch within M-Flash. I also tried using the flash button with a USB drive in the flash slot while on first BIOS. Neither worked. The second BIOS remains functional unlike the first. Lastly, I have tried all CMOS tricks and it has done nothing for the first BIOS. I'm convinced that BIOS_1 is bricked, but maybe it isn't? ANY input is HIGHLY appreciated, Thanks. I have around 150 hours on the game and I wasn't playing it that much so I uninstalled it. After about 3-4 months I reinstalled my windows and since then I can't play the game. When I start it from the shortcut or from the steam library the "Preparing to lauch Payday 2..." window pops up and closes after about 1-2 seconds and my status in steam changes from "Online" to "Playing PAYDAY 2" and then back to "Online". I already tried verifying the files, deleting the "appchache" folder in the steam directory, updating windows, updating drivers, reinstalling the game and even reinstalling windows again, but still nothing... Has anyone experienced that issue? Is it from my pc or from the game, or maybe from Steam? If someone has a solution please tell me so I can fix it and spread it for other people having this problem!

Hi guys, for about a month now I was not able to start Blade and Soul. I get to the login screen, get to the updater (which updates when there is an update), click on play and even see the gameguard starting and thats it. The game wont come up, not even a small loading icon that normally does - the support gave up on me as of this Monday. The strange part is, it worked for a week in this time without any explainable cause (tried starting it in the morning, came back afternoon and tried again and it worked - no update in between on my or the games side). Any other program runs fine and the game does work on a different pc (same room, even switched LAN cables to test it), and if I log in on both pc's one gets kicked out - so it registers the starting... I do not get any error message and in my task manager I can see the exe running (see attached file). So far tried without any results: Reinstall game Remove game and all components from ncsoft and reinstall Remove Bitdefender Reinstall Windows and in the process format the entire two drives (one SSD, one harddrive) and only install BNS as well as nvidia driver for my graphic card. System: Windows 10 Pro 64bit MSI H170A Gaming Pro (MS-7978) , Version 2.20 MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 Crucial SSD MX200 WD Blue Desktop W20EZRZ (2TB) Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB DDR4 (2x8GB) Corsair RM550x (550Watt) Do any of you have an Idea what to do? I dont mind formatting and reinstalling windows again if that helps you.

I've had my computer for two months now and it has been working wonderfully until last Saturday. Like many other stories I have found on the web, I was playing games when it suddenly turned off while temps were fine. I have tried Googling, haven't gotten me any further, so the only choice left I have is to turn to you guys that know more than me. I push power button, it turns on for a second or two, then shuts down. EDIT: It turns out to be related to the DIMM's. I tried turning it down from 3200MHz to 2933 MHz and got it working again. I thought I had fixed it, but shortly after (A day), that stopped working and I cleared CMOS and all of that to set it to default speed of 2133 MHz. After a few hours admist a CS:GO Match, it shut down and now won't come back on again. I recently installed some additional RAM two and a half week ago. Purchased exact same ones as the initial ones. Officially my MB doesn't support 3200 MHz, but says on the spec sheet it's achieveable through OC. I am not familiar with OC, so I sticked to using the XMP profile dropdown in UEFI/Switch on the MB. The MB and DIMM's are listed in the hardware spoiler bellow. Hardware: I've read the thread stickied about No POST and so forth. Some stuff I am unertain of; 1. Make sure your BIOS version is compatible with the CPU generation you're trying to run in your motherboard, you can consult the manual or the manufacturer's website about this. 4. Make sure your PSU is powerful enough to power your complete system. Should be, especially after reverting back to what I have had for months. Here's a list of things I have aready tried: A few pointers: Any suggestions?

I (Idiot) accidentally spilled soda on my computer and it messed it up and it won't turn on now. I'm suspecting that the motherboard died as it got severe amounts of liquid on it so what should I do now? I acted fast and wiped off most off the liquid that got into the PC. i don't think anything else has broken because they didn't get as much soda on them but who knows?? What's the best thing to do now? Any advice?!?

The Problem i currently have is that i cant login to my computer. I have the windows login set to press Ctrl+alt+del to unlock and when i press it it loads for a good while until it stops and goes back to the ctrl+alt+del screen. So i cant Login at all even in safe mode the problem is the same.It Started when i updated Windows to the latest version after the update it worked perfectly fine everything loaded up fine and was just like before. But because i'm picky and don't like the shortcut arrows on the program shortcuts on my desktop i downloaded the windows club Ultimate windows tweaker program to remove them as i had done in the past but this time after checking the box and hitting apply my whole desktop went black all the icons disapered and the only thing visible was the taskbar + the whole screen was flashing and constantly loading something. At this point i couldn't do anything the only thing i managed to do was open task manager through ctrl alt del. After this i restarted but the problem still persisted. I managed to start the system in safe mode but the same problem was there in safe mode and so couldn't do anything there either.I tried a few troubleshoots but none of them turned anything up so i've now i've got the problem i previously mentioned, that i cant even logon now.I have Windows installed on an SSD and the rest of my files on a hard drive and when i tried to reset my computer with the keeping my files option it said it couldn't reset as there is not enough space. I am left with no idea what to do from this point I also have system restore points set up before the update but its telling me i cant use them because i have to create a restore drive

THIS IS SOLVED I got an old lenovo l440 along with about 6 diffrent laptops for spare parts. Now it did work when i first got it but i noticed it was missing an little board on the inside that had the aux and one USB port on it. So when i tried installing that card i had to remove almost everything in it. The keyboard, all the cables etc. Now when i actually did get it in the laptop would freeze on the bios/starting up screen. So i tried removing that little aux-usb card, now the laptop wouldnt power on at all, no led, no indication at all. I tried resetting bios, nothing. i tried a diffrent battery, nothing. I tried with the charger, nothing. I even switched motherboard like 3 times, nothing. Tho I do notice that the mobo got a little spot under the network and bios battery that gets a bit hot whenever there are a battery in. So the mobo gets power. Ive tried chaning ram, hdd, cpu, EVERYTHING. still nothing, so i left in my shelf for about 1-4 months. Now ive decided i want to fix it for a friend, so we can play some light games like minecraft etc. The only problem is that i dont know what to try anymore! Do yall got anything i could try? EDIT: it seems like ive fixed it, after switching all the components to a diffrent mobo, and it also seemed like one of my 4gb ram sticks was faulty, so i changed to the only ram stick i had left which was 1 8gb one. Nice!

All my friends said that they loaded fine and they had no problems. I told them to play a match without while i let the pc take its time and load. the only programs that i was running was rainbow six seige on high settings, discord, spotify, and maybe a youtube video on chrome.I left to get a drink and upon returning it was on a boot up screen and would not proceed. It also told me to hit ESC to skip the setup but it just freezes on 1 sec. I also know nothing about computer so please be nice XD

After recently reinstalling windows 10 pro N I can't start two of my best games in my steam library. I had to reinstall windows because it changed the shortcuts and i didn't think to try to change them back. Now I can't launch Black Ops III or GTA IV. Borderlands 2, rocket league, Civ 5 all work. Has anyone had this problem? Thanks.

I have a strong urge like an itch to build computers so in an attempt to satisfy it I removed the side panel of my computer then took out and put back in one of my ram sticks. The fans spin and all the RGB turns on (not to my settings though) but it won't display anything on the monitor which appears to be off even though it is on. PLEASE HELP!!! I value my computer over everything else and it's failure to operate would destroy me.

Recently I had put together my new PC, I had followed every guideline and rule that I had learned. I even watched a ton of PC build tutorials. I managed to put everything together the right way. When I turned on the power all the fans and lights turned on, but when connected to a monitor nothing appeared but a blank screen. I searched through forums trying to find an answer. I determined it was most likely a faulty motherboard, so I bought a new one and waited for its arrival. When I got my new MoBO I took apart the computer and did a quick swap of motherboards. When I started the PC up again it was just the same problem, fans and lights work but no boot screen on the monitor. I could really use help deciding what the problem could be. If any one could help me you would be a life saver.

Hi everyone, I installed a watercooling cpu block earlier today. Everything looked to be setup fine and it worked without any issues. After an hour the PC kept freezing for a second. I restarted my PC and it took 20 seconds to load rather than 7. I rebooted again but I held down the power button instead. Now I can't get past the startup screen. When I turn on the PC it shows the Republic of gamers logo, then shows a black screen with a flashing cursor as if it's loading, but nothing happens. When I installed my new waterblock, I turned on the PC and it started pumping, all the water went around the loop. I have speedfan installed, but at one point it said that my CPU went from 30 to 50 degrees within a few minutes, even though the water was pumping. Then suddenly it went down from 50 back to 30 within 10 seconds. So I'm uncertain whether there was an issue with the software or the CPU has overheated. Everything was working perfectly fine before. The only thing done is I replaced a CPU fan with watercooling and added an additional 2 fans for the radiator. Hardware: Motherboard - Asus maximus ranger VII SSD - Samsung 840 Evo HDD - uncertain OS - windows 10 I have my SSD as the primary boot. I'm uncertain what to do, I've been googling for hours such as: "Blank screen and flashing cursor" "How to boot in safe mode" "Unable to get past startup screen" I haven't found anything relevant. I want to boot up in safe mode but can't see how. Pressing f8 just shows my two hard drives, no safe mode. Booting from either causes the same issue. If I go to the bios I can't see an option in advanced or boot for safe mode. I'm uncertain what else to try. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi I need help, my power supply that I've had for a couple months now is suddenly giving me trouble. If I turn my computer off, I have to wait a day or 2 to turn my computer back on or it won't turn on. If I try to turn it on before the alloted time my keyboard lights up and I get a light on my mobo, but nothing else. I've tried different troubleshooting methods, but nothing has worked. I'm a college student so I don't have a budget for a new pay at the moment and I need my pc for school work. I hate having to leave my pc on for days or be forced to wait days before I can turn it on again, any suggestions? Hey, so my friend just upgraded to a new moniter and when he unplugged his old one, his computer shut off and he says it wont start.
