Hey guys, I‘m new to this Forum and desperately need your help. Yesterday, I connected a new HDD to my computer. When I reconnected the cable of my PSU and tried to boot my computer, it didn‘t Turn on whatsoever. Only my keyboard and mouse have blinking LEDs as long as the PC is connected to an Outlet. My First thought was to take out the HDD I had just installed, which wasn‘t fixing the error. I‘ve also tried other troubleshooting steps like waiting 2 hours with the PSU Switch set to off and Power disconnected, replacing my MoBo cr2032 battery, trying to Remove all drives and even swapping out my graphics Card. I‘ve also tried disconnecting and reconnecting the 24pin MB connector and swapping RAM sticks. All of the steps above didn‘t help. Since I am a photographer and videographer, i Need a PC to edit and earn money. Do you guys think my Motherboard/PSU is Fried? My System has Been running Just Fine for about 8 years now. Thanks for helping a PC Noob out. Hi there, I have an led light strip plugged into my computer and I use it to light my face during livestreaming/recording. I would really like it if there was a way I could turn the light on and off without just unplugging it. There's not an on/off switch on the strip so I was hoping there was either something in Windows or an external app that could control a specific USB port. If you know of anything like that or possibly can think of another solution that'd be great! Thanks!

I have a Cooler Master Seion 120v. It's about 2 years old and used to work just fine. But now if i shut down my pc and then proceed to boot it after a while or right away as well it doesn't turn on the pump. The fan spins fine and it boots, but it gets super hot and shuts down. It boots and shuts down at least 3 times before i can hear the water go through the tubes. I cant put it to sleep and then go back with no problem. It only happens if i turn it off completely. Windows 10 AMD FX 8320 GA 78lmt-USB3 2x4 hyperfuryx 1600 Seidon 120v EVGA 500W 100-W1-0500 + 1 HD, 1 ssd, 2 fans

The first month of using my pc was normal but recently it had issues that I cant turn it on via the power switch on the h500i case nor the power switch of the Z390 Ace Meg. The temporary solution that I discovered is to switch off the power supply so no power was running in the motherboard and turn it back on as soon I flick the switch of the power supply. What could be the issue please help.

I bought a brand new pc from my friend just a few weeks ago. The problem is, the first time i took the pc to my house, it wont turn on. Then i send it back to him. But, its work fine at his house. So i bring the pc back to my house for 2nd time and it work fine JUST for 3 days. It wont turn on on day 3 after shutdown for more than 10hour. Then again, i bring the pc back to my friend house. THE PC WORKS JUST FINE. 1 tap at the power button and it turn on. Bring the PC back home for 3rd time, i can turn it on, play game for a few hours, try shutting it down and power it on again for a couple time. It work like a normal pc it should be. Then, after i shutting it down for like 10hour, it wont turn on again. So i told my friend its happen again and he told me 'maybe' my house electrical was unstable and ask me to buy an AVR or UPS.

Let's Start with my motherboard: ASrock Z370 Taichi Ever since installing the new parts I have this extremely bright red LED right next to the Dr.Debug box on the bottom right of the motherboard, it's been kinda ruining my color scheme so I thought I would ask others about this, ~Is there a way to turn it off? Or change it's color? If not I will just make all LED colors fucking red cause it clashes so hard and in general, is just eye piercing to look at in the darkness of my room. Thanks for reading! If you're curious about what I put in the taichi, it's an 8700k.

Imagine a case that you could use a remote to turn your pc on! (If it has been done already don’t yell at me) but I’d be kinda cool so you could have your pc far away (behind a tv or monitor) and turn it on watch movies, shows, play games...

So yesterday i bought new case NZXT Phantom 530 and Gigabyte GTX 970. Me and my friend replacing all the components from my old PC to the new one. Here are the specs: i7 4790k Gigabyte GTX 970 Corsair CX750M Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Pro 2x8(16GB) Gigabyte GA H97-Gaming-3 Cooler Master HYPER 212X TURBO When everything done, i plug the power cable behind the case, and turn the switch. Funny thing is, before i press the power button in the top of case, my pc turn on for a split second, then turn off. I tried the solutions from other forum like remove then insert the RAM stick, reseating heatsink, remove GPU. Still the same problem. I bought the motherboard a year ago and PSU in 2014, so it's still kinda new i think. And have a zero problem before this. Anyone knows how to fix it ?

So I was doing some cable management on my desk to make it look more clean, I disconected my PC from the wall and put in my bed so it wouldn't hinder while doing the cable management. When I was done, I connected the PC to the wall outlet and tried turning it on, and to my surprise it wouldn't turn on, I connected my Mouse to the USB port and my mouse LED turned on, I don't really know what's the problem, I've checked if there is any loose cable but everything seems to be great, Please help!

Hi I got my monitor fixed once by LG about 8 months ago. Its been fine since then but only recently it has been having a few troubles turning off and on. The problems are the buttons don't navigate so I can't turn it off or into standby also the red light doesn't work. Also the power cored has to be in in a very precise way in order for it to work. It still works but i cant turn it on or off by buttons since they don't work, the power cord has to be in that exact position so at the moment when i go out to turn it off i have to just switch it off by the wall. A few strange things are that when you hold the function button it turns on the red light for as long as it's held. Apart from that nothing else works or no buttons etc, so i can't change sources . Any idea's is welcome if not should i just try and get it RMA-ed again? Thanks, Luke.

Hello, My name is Lars Koppejan 14 years old and I live in the Netherlands. Sorry for my English... I am new to this forum so if i am doing something wrong please tell me. PC Specs: CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Cooler: CM Seidon Graphic card: ATI Radeon 5700 MOBO: Asrock 830 Extreme3 RAM: 4 GB DRR3 From Geil, 8 GB DDR3 From G. Skill HDD: Samsung 1 TB 7200 RPM, Samsung 500 GB 7200 RPM (both all most full) PSU: XFX TS 600 Watt Case: Some random case The problem: My dad's pc turns off automatically, without any warning. It does not do any shut down sequens or anything. It also doesn't turn back on Automatically. Also the PC is very slow, is this due to a broken CPU or maybe a malware infection or a virus. (this is very good possible, "clean system up" I know but my Father doesn't have time for it.) My dad used to use the stock head sink. but it got so hot that it shut itself down. It got to like 90 degrees Celsius, it did not thermal throttle at all. My father bought a Cooler Master Seidon. What we all ready tried; The first thought was a dead PSU, so my father bought a new PSU, a XFX TS 600 watt (I beleave). This didn't work.. he bought 8 GB ram DDR3 in addition to the 4 GB that were allready in the pc. it only showed 4 GB ram instead of 12 GB. It was cosed by a broken slot, my father bought the exactly the same motherboard and that seemed to work. The PC showed 12 GB ram and it worked fine, but every so often it still turns off without any warning or shut down sequens. Oh and I also just updated the BIOS, I am not sure if it fixed it. When we switched the motherboard it turned out that there was way to many thermal compound... I asked if we should clean it off a bit but didn't thought it was needed. He put the head sink back on and the thermal paste leaked on the pins. We cleaned it off the best we could. So Is the CPU dead due to overheating(that thing that happened with the thermal compound was after the problem showed up) We basically replaced everything but the CPU... Lars Koppejan, P.S. Please no jokes about amd stuff getting hot, I know, it was probably not a very good idea with that stock headsink.....

Hi, last night I was watching YouTube on my tablet when suddenly the video froze and an error message appeared. I looked at the top bar of the tablet only to see that the WiFi icon was missing, I went into the settings and attempted to turn the WiFi back on but it wouldn’t. The little switch moves but only displays the words “turning wifi on…” and doesn’t do anything. After a minute or so it goes back to being displayed as off. I have turned the tablet on and off several times. However I’ve noticed that when I turn it back on all of that apps that I left running are still running, this leads me to believe that the tablet isn’t fully shutting down. I was wondering if anyone has found a solution to this or knows if there is a way to properly shut down the tablet as I have seen many similar posts online on other android products, thanks. It is a Samsung tab S2 10.1 running android 5.0.2. It isn’t rooted and doesn’t have any kind of custom rom, basically factory new besides any apps I have installed.

Hi there, I recently got a new computer and after a while decided to add a sound card. After adding that the computer then decided then that upon hitting the power off (on the windows interface anyway) on occasion it would turn off and then a few seconds later would turn on. Would to know what might cause it and if there is a fix I would like to know as well Many thanks in advance!!

Ok, so I just built my pc and turned it on, went into the bios to check temperatures and everything was fine, I then went and did a few things for about 5 mins so I could leave it idling, when I came back I went to sit down and my pc turned off. I have tried lots of different things like a different psu, no ram, one ram, one (other) ram, resetting bios. also i can hear the PSU turn off when i hold the power button down, after turning it on of course. I'm thinking its either the motherboard or ram because I'm using random ddr3 ram from an old pc, although I'm not sure because it did turn on for a bit before. this is my first post so sorry if theres not enough info. my parts are listed here http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/p/MXVwFT without the ram and graphics card.

I just bought a a new asus maximus VII formula and when I turn on the PSU, the lights on the motherboard turn on, but when I press the START button, nothing happens. I have a Intel i7 4790K CPU, 2 Sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600mhz RAM, a NZXT Hale90 v2 1200w, and a EVGA GTX980 Video Card on the Motherboard. I also connected the Front Panel connectors on my case and when I press the power button nothing happens, same result when I tried shorting the power pins. Do I have a faulty motherboard or what?

Hey guys, I just recently returned from school and my PC won't turn on... I tried turning off the power supply, re plug the cable, turn it on, and nothing... I looked under my power supply to see if the fan suffocated and there was barely any dust. Then I try turning off the power bar it's outlet is connected to, and back on... Still doesn't work. Please help me out, should I open it up and check the components? My monitor works just fine. How can I check if something is broken? Is it something on their part? I've only had my PC for 3 months now... EDIT: It was working JUST fine last night. *Yes, I did check the thread in this section... Nothing helps... I haven't checked the power supply yet.*

Hi guys Luke here back for more help So here's the problem i got a new monitor bracket arm thing monitor worked fine before mounting. I mounted it and it would not turn on i have tried taking it off and back on the stand and tried turning it back on but it still wont turn back on. Strange thing the computer still detects the monitor and shows up in the windows screen resolution setting when the power and the hdmi of the monitor is plugged in and doesn't show it when not plugged in so it is still working to some extent just no picture is showing. It is a LG IPS LED 23EA63 Monitor here it is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LG-23EA63-23-IPS-LED-Widescreen-Monitor-Full-HD-1080p-HDMI-DVI-VGA-/331103134616 . It was brand new from ebuyer when i brought it and it is still under warranty by a month so if you guys cant help me fix it then i will just send it back and get a replacement. Another thing is when i hold the function button as for the as i am holding it the function button turns on the red light at the front. All the other buttons don't seem to do anything(as far as i can tell). When screwing in the top left corner screw(when looking at it from the back)did click a few times when going in so if there is anything important under there that controls the monitor maybe i broke it or went through it?? Um thing thats about all any and all help will be great thanks so much guys really need this fixed asap using a crappy monitor atm ! - Luke
