Budget (including currency): Rupees ₹ 1,20,000 Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: RPG and some multiplayer games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): my current list, picked them close to my budget. I am planning to buy this month. My current monitor supports 1440p and 144hz. AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID ML240L RGB V2 65.59 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Asus TUF Gaming B650 Plus WIFI Motherboard (AMD Socket AM5/Ryzen 7000 Series CPU/Max 128GB DDR5 6400MHz Memory) Corsair Vengeance DDR5 16GB (16GBx1) 5200MHz Black Desktop RAM Crucial MX500 2.5 inch 1TB SATA III 3D SSD CT1000MX500SSD1 Crucial P3 Plus 1TB PCIe M.2 NVMe Gen4 Internal SSD (CT1000P3PSSD8) Sapphire NITRO+ RX 6800 XT Special Edition 16GB GDDR6 Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case Corsair CV750 SMPS - 750 Watt 80 Plus Bronze Certification PSU With Active PFC (CP-9020237-IN) I have some knowledge about PC building, but in practice this is my very first. I have zero experience in building. I want a PC just for gaming, and browsing and I don't want upgrade for at least minimum of 5 years, that's why I choose RX6800 XT. I have some concerns about above list, like compatibility issues, fittings. I need some advice on that. A quick note on the graphics card, I am buying it from used market for like ₹28k. is it okay? this is purely due to budget limitation. Also any alternate suggestions for my current motherboard is welcomed, I feel it a bit pricey. Can I pick this: ASRock A620M Pro RS WiFi Motherboard my only concern is its micro-ATX and the case is ATX, will it look awkward? Any suggestion is appreciated.

which Lenovo yoga 7 is the right choice
Spectral0log posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
I'm looking for a laptop will be used as a daily driver for Uni, with most high intensive tasks done by remoting into another machine. my budget is around $1100 cad. From what I've found, these are my best option;. they are Lenovo yogas of different specs. (other recommendations are welcome tho) 1. AMD: https://www.lenovo.com/ca/en/p/laptops/yoga/yoga-2-in-1-series/yoga-7-gen-8-(16-inch-amd)/83bs0002us 2. Intel: https://www.lenovo.com/ca/en/p/laptops/yoga/yoga-2-in-1-series/yoga-7i-gen-8-(16-inch-intel)/82yn0012us 3. Intel https://www.lenovo.com/ca/en/p/laptops/yoga/yoga-2-in-1-series/yoga-7i-gen-8-(16-inch-intel)/82yn0010us The main difference between the three options are CPU (w/ integrated graphics), Ram and display panel. 1. AMD CPU: 7 7735U (2.70 GHz up to 4.75 GHz), Ram: 16 GB LPDDR5-6400MHz Display: 16" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), IPS, Glare, Touch, 45%NTSC, 300 nits, 60Hz 2. Intel Cpu: i7-1360P Processor (E-cores up to 3.70 GHz P-cores up to 5.00 GHz) Ram: 16 GB LPDDR5-5200MHz Display: 16" WQXGA (2560 x 1600), IPS, Glare, Touch, 100%sRGB, 400 nits, 60Hz 3. Intel Cpu: i5-1340P Processor (E-cores up to 3.40 GHz P-cores up to 4.60 GHz) Ram: 16 GB LPDDR5-5200MHz Display: 16" WQXGA (2560 x 1600), IPS, Glare, Touch, 100%sRGB, 400 nits, 60Hz the intel versions has a much better screen, (which is an important factor to me), but I'm not too sure about which has better overall performance. Daoes anyone have an over all recommendation? -
I recently ordered the Uncle Linus water bottle and the bonus bin dad hat. When it transferred from Canada to the US at some point my apartment number got lost and after making it all the way to Texas my package got an instant return to sender. So I reached out to support who at the time said the best they could do was let me pick something of equal value and get something else from the bonus bin which was only the stickers. I asked if they could just resend my package when it got back to them even offering to repay the shipping fees, that's when the problem came up. They apparently have no way of knowing when returning items hit the warehouse. As far as I can tell, they don't know what happens to items that are no longer sold get returned at all. Eventually, I was notified they were doing a re-order of the water bottle to help deal with people that had issues like mine. At that point I was like sure I'm losing out on the free hat but at least I'll actually get what I paid for. This was until I got my box with a "Trust me bro" sticker which made me realize I don't think I do anymore since I couldn't get my item which was most definitely sitting in their warehouse somewhere. I want to be clear the staff was very nice and helped me to the best of their ability this is a system/procedure issue that I think needs to be addressed not a personnel issue. I can't be that mad I have the bottle it's great and I like the design but I probably won't be buying anything that's in limited supply again. I didn't want to put this as a review on my order because the water bottle is great and I don't want my system suggestion dragging down a perfectly fine product.

I’m a computer first timer. I have a friend through discord who is helping me build my PC. I am having a issue where my motherboard shows an error code shows a D7 error. I don’t even know where to start. The only threads I have seen say completely rebuild your computer. I would like to avoid this as I am very bad at building pc’s. Does anyone know a way to fix this. I have a list of specs if I need to show them. I also have a strix Z690-e Wi-Fi gaming motherboard.

Heya! I am on the look out for a new Headset for myself and would love to get suggestions as im not really sure what to use/search for. At home i am used to my Philips Fidelio X2HR/00 and their open back design. Currently i am using the Sony WH-1000XM4 at work and such for being wireless. But lately i have more the need for open back headphones as for their easier listening to my surroundings. The Sony doesnt really satisfy me with their way of letting me listening to my surroundings though. Im mostly listening to Electr/Electro Swing and some Podcasts while im walking around with my Headphones. Location wise im from Germany and have no real budget right now :D Thank you for helping out! K~

Need suggestions for a decent work laptop. Though I say work, i don't mean a 2 grand workstations of course. I'm looking for something that HP envy esque, but with a decent performance and thinness. The only check box the envy doesn't tick is the screen. Is there any laptop that is decently thin (non gaming) and has a display with at least 120Hz? budget $1200~$1300 usd. what I mean when I say hp envy-esque: processor: i7 (or ryzen 5 or higher) ram: 16; ssd: 256+ graphics: anything would do as long as its dedicated (I don't play games but need to work on renders on blender, so suggestions on what would be better for that would also help!) webcam + sd card slot I work on photoshop and illustrator, so having a decent color accurate display is also necessary (FHD would be sufficient considering the budget) is this budget too low for what I'm seeking? or is there anything that has somewhat decent specs that I might need to look into? I should also add i'm looking for a higher refresh rate screen for the sole purpose having a smooth scrolling machine, my phone ruined me.

Hey! I´m looking for suggestions for a PSU, becouse I recently made a new system for myself, and lend my older system to my brother but I need a new one, either for mine or for his. Mostly becouse his systems has a generic one and i dont want to have him use it with a GPU. Just to be safe. So the specs of my system are: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: GYGABYTE RTX 2060 6GB RAM: 2X8Gb Corsair Vengence 3200mhz SSD: Kingstone 480gb ssd PSU: XFX 500W +80 plus bronze And my brother has my older system: CPU: AMD A10 7850K GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 960 2GB OC RAM: 2x4Gb HyperX Fury HDD: 1tb Westen Digital Blue And heres comes my question, i have been searching my local shops in Argentina and come to realize there are a lot of low quality brands Aerocool, Sentey, etc. But found three (I hope) decent options: Corsair, Cooler Master and some Thermaltake Smart COOLER MASTER MWE BRONZE V2 600W 80 PLUS CORSAIR CV550W 80PLUS BRONZE CORSAIR CV650W 80PLUS BRONZE Thermaltake Smart White 600w 80 Plus (White) They are all arround the same price, kinda fit my budget and many other better PSU are way to much expensive. Which one is the the best fit for my system so i can give him my XFX (Which originally was bought with the 960, so I know it runs well)? or do you know any other particular model I could try to look arround for? Thanks a lot!

Hello All, My family recently found a box of family movies shot on 8 mm film. Luckily, we just happened to still have an 8 mm projector. However, the film dates back to 1965 and is extremely sentimental (it contains video of my father-in-law's father who pasted away quite a while ago). I would like to covert the film to digital and give copies to the family for Christmas, but I do not have a film converter. While they seem to be pretty common on Amazon, I was curious if anyone had any other suggestions. I have considered sending them out to be converted, but as they are extremely sentimental I would like to take an initial stab at recording them. That way there would at least be one copy left if something were to happen to them (e.g., get lost in shipping, destroyed, etc.). So far I have set up my Canon T3i on a tripod next to the projector and recorded the film being played against one of the walls in my house. The problem with that is that the film isn't always that clear, as my camera isn't capable of adjusting the focus to the film. Thus, I have had to manually focus the camera and hope I don't bump it while I am changing film reels. Any suggestions on a better method would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

Budget (including currency): 3000 CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Open world exploration games (RDR2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, etc,) Minecraft + Shaders. All will either be 1440p or 4k Other details I'm upgrading from an Acer Predator Orion 3000 prebuilt with an rtx 2060, an i7 9700, and 2x8gb ddr4 2666mhz ram. This is what I came up with for the time being: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/GmLhmr. Instead of a 5600x though, I'm going to get a 7600x when it comes out, along with an rtx 4080 if I can find one. Any suggestions for improvement?

Hi, i plan on getting the Ryzen 5 3600, the motherboard i got recommended was Msi B450A PRO MAX, there's nothing similar in that budget where i live. I didn't follow the PC world for a few years and I've read about it necessary BIOS updates with this config. Is this a thing? And does HyperX XMP Predator 2x8 3200 "behave" well in this build? Thanks!

Hi guys, I am new here and I just watched the ltt video about the graphene thermal pad ( Too good to be true was the video title). I have a suggestion about how it can be made to work. We can take a large piece of that sheet and stick it to the cpu. We can then fold the remaining sheet and stick it to the cooler. In this way, we can use the high surface conductivity to transfer the heat .

Hello guys! As you can read it in the title i want to buy a laptop for myself, mostly gaming and taking notes in university. So mostly i looking for a portable, but powerful machine (obviously I don't want to use it for heavy workload while on the go). I am going to learn electrical engineering, so I will mostly use it for programming. In terms of gaming I play Paradox games (mostly eu4 and hoi4), which needs a lot of cpu power and I really want to play Cyberpunk when it comes out. I was thinking about the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (GA401lU, the one with Ryzen 7, GTX 1660 Ti, 1000 GB storage and 16GB of ram), buut it's kinda expensive. So if you have any suggestions for me, or even any tips about what to watch for, please share with me, I would be really glad. Do you think the G14 is too overkill for my purposes? I'm looking forward for you responses! DjMaster

Hey, guys! I don't know if this is the correct area to ask for advice, but i'm am planning to build a system capable of virtualizing a lot of machines, ranging from firewalls, all the way to VyOS routers, passing trough windows servers and CentOS servers as well. I am currently working on an ASUS X560UD Laptop with the i7 8550U variant, 16GB of RAM and a GTX 1050 mobile. I work on linux, because windows keeps crashing for some reason and play games and enjoy other forms of entertainment on windows. I planned some things ahead: Price budget Confortable : 1000€ ~ 1000$US because of taxes and what not MAX : 1500€ ~ 1500$US because of the same reason Air cooling because i don't trust water near my electronics (mad trust issues) Wanted to try Ryzen, because Intel seems to s*ck now and AMD gives more bang for the buck GPU need the most bang for the buck that can play games if the urge rises (mostly triple A titles from some years back and emulators) Case nothing flashy. only sleek and modern looking The reason fot this is that i will be taking a new networking course (continuing the one i just completed) and we do use a lot of virtual machines and had to count the MegaBytes of RAM to the very end of the SODIMMS to fit everything and some machines didn't even manged to run I am from Europe, Portugal to be more specific, so some parts may not be available at all. But since my course only starts in November, i have time to prepare and wait for the parts Thank you in advance for bearing with my english and thank you for your suggestions

I’m trying to move my itx build into a Jonsbo A4 but ran into an issue with my aio interfering with the psu mount. Basically the tubes are incredibly stiff where they slide over the radiator barbs and don’t allow the psu bracket to fit in place. I’m using a fractal design Celsius + 240mm aio. Is there a different aio that will work? Pic included

WAN show is one of my favorite weekly twitch streams. It's super entertaining and insightful, especially for guys like me that can keep up with everything that is going on throughout the week. And the audience has been growing and growing every week. However I feel it would be found even more if they set their game in the dashboard to "Gaming Talk Shows" so the show can actually be found in the directory. I'm wondering if this was overlooked or if there was a reason they aren't doing this.
