If i put this in the Wrong Topic Please no hate just tell me, lol Hello, I've had my Blue Spark Digital For a long time now 3-4 years. I've unplugged the mic and replugged it and *Poof* Stopped working, so i looked into it and the pins where bent, so i tried to repair it had no luck.. contacted blue for a new cable and they said they don't have any because it has not been in production for a while now, so no replacement cable. So i came on the idea to just hardwire / solder a normal usb cable to the internals of the Mic, it would maybe be an inconvenience but I'm okay with it and don't have the money to buy a new mic, and the sound quality it still really good. But the ONLY problem is, i don't know where i should solder the Power + / Power - / and Both Data Cables. So i came here with a hope to get some help. I attached Pictures of the inside of the mic, If anyone could help and need more info / pics just tell me. Thank you in advance.

Just built a new PC, everything was running fine until I decided to set the Corsair h100 aio pump and fan speed to extreme to test. I reboot the pc and it shorts out, dead. I swapped the psu and the mobo leds lit up, pressed power and everything started sparking and sizzling, I shut off power from the psu At this point I smelled burning from the aio and commander pro controller. I replaced the aio and tested with just the 24 pin mobo connector, cpu and gpu pcie and it works fine. So I plugged in the sata connectors and the same thing, sparks and sizzling sounds. I’ve isolated the issue of to the sata connection cable to the psu as the culprit, but how do I fix this? My fans and hdd can’t run without it. Do I need to rma the mobo? specs ROG Crosshair viii dark hero mobo ryzen 5900x RTX 3080 founder edition Samsung 980 pro ssd corsair rm850x lian li 24pin and 8 pin vga strimer cable lian li uni fan 120 x3 asia horse matrix 360 fans lian li led strip

Hello. So about 4 weeks ago, I have build my very first PC. It went perfectly, all be it a bit slow. But when it booted up to BIOS I noticed that one of the RAM sticks wasn't properly installed. So I turned off my PC and my PSU and tried to reinstall the memory stick. And then a spark appeared as soon as it was removed. Scared as crap I put the RAM stick back on my PC, turned it on and hoped that it will boot up again to BIOS. And it did. Now I don't really have any problems with my build. The only things are that I'm running my RAM at 3466 MHz instad of 3600, because I could only go up to 1733 MHz on the infinity fabric on my CPU, but the RAM can run at 3600MHz with that infinity fabric speed. Also right now my PC is booting itself on randomly. This was happening for less than a week and I'm now trying to fix it (I'll let you guys know if I manage to fix it). But aside those things my PC works fine and the motherboard doesn't have any marks from the spark, which was between the 2 RAM sticks. But I'm still a bit curious and concerned about my PC, since it's my first build. Hope to hear it from you guys!

https://www.theverge.com/2017/5/24/15684728/dji-announces-spark-cheapest-mini-drone Well the rumors were true, this thing is absolutely tiny. $499 - Half the price of the Mavic Pro 0.6 pounds (~272grams) 1080p video 12MP photos - f/2.6 25mm eff. 2-axis gimbal - Stabilised rotation Non-removable propellers 16 minutes fly time 2Km range 31mph top speed Micro USB charging ActiveTrack and TapFly Gesture flying Quickshot auto-edit - 1 minutes footage to 10 seconds Optional controller https://store.dji.com/product/spark Alpine White, Sky Blue, Meadow Green, Lava Red, and Sunrise Yellow. DJI is expected to ship the Spark on June 15th DJI is absolutely killing it recently, they really aren't resting on their laurels. This is a pretty tempting device for me as I couldn't justify the price of the Mavic Pro for the amount I would use it, that said the footage looks a little soft and appears to be fixed focus. Hopefully the still image quality is decent and DJI enables RAW stills to be taken In before the Casey Neistat hate: The video linked has sample footage upscaled to 4K.

Hello guys, Today is a sad day.. My 2.5 year old 970 sparked and I'm scared of running it in my PC again. So here's what happened: I was on BF1, in the pre-game where quite a bit of power is drawn by the card, then my PC suddenly shuts off. That I assume was the short-circuit protection built into either my PSU or the motherboard. I thought it was a power cut but a second later my PC turns back on and a spark comes flying out of the back of the GPU. The GPU was working fine though, it booted into the login menu for Win10 again, no issues with the image but at which point I was sniffing around trying to smell burning and indeed I did.. I turned my PC off at that point and took the GPU out and it seems like some mosquito flew into my PC at night or something and got caught in between the backplate and one of the ceramic filters on the back of the card. I took some pictures that you'll find attached with this post after removing the backplate to get a better look at what happened. What seems to have happened is that the solder on one end of the component melted due to the sparking. I don't know if I should replace it or if it's even safe to turn the PC on with it at all. I need your advice. Should I replace the card or can I still use it? Thanks for any answers. Pictures on Drive : https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6nULn-5opImR3pXRlFfdDNXaDQ

I am looking at purchasing a Patriot Spark 256GB SSD. I was wondering if anyone has one or has used one and could give some insight into if it's worth getting, so information like are the read/write speeds what they say they are and the big one being what the lifespan is like with it. Any suggestions to a similar size and priced SSD would be welcomed. I live in England so the Patriot is around 78 pounds including shipping.

SOLVED EDIT: X570 GIGABYTE Aorus motherboard pro has leds on the back that spark for a few seconds when you switch the power supply button on. Gigabyte confirmed it was normal. EDIT(9/9/19): So I opened the back and turned off and on the power supply now that I was a little less worried about frying mb in case it was the psu, the white light that I thought was a spark was some leds in the back of the motherboard(Gigx570 pro), still don't know if this is normal or a bad thing? EDIT: awesome, I'm getting a replacement soon. Chat option is so much easier than calling! So, I built my first pc and made sure to take my time not to mess up anything (although I tried unplugging the chassis USB from motherboard and pins came out so I just pushed everything back in but that's another story, it still works btw) anyway, when I plugged everything in and went to press the button on the psu, a white spark happened. I thought it was a one time thing cuz' the pc worked fine even after that and didn't spark when I used the power button on the case. However, when I moved the pc to another room, I turned off the psu from the back and when I reconnected everything again the white spark was back when I turned the psu from the back. I tried removing the power supply from the case and re-installing it, but it happened again. tbh I don't know whether the sparks are coming from the left side of the motherboard or from the power supply, idk if I should try again and look at it from the back? I found a post about the same thing with the same psu but idk if it's the same case with mine.

so i had like maybe 60 tabs up with home depot and calculators up then my pc just shuts off...... no blue screen or anything just powered off immediately like someone pulled the cord.. then i went to check the breaker and it wasn't tripped so i went back inside and turned pc on and saw through the glass that the motherboard sparked (asrock x370 taichi) .... what is the protocol steps to diagnose this... i was thinking psu is done but could it be possible its so dusty it caused a spark? **edited to insert picture also the spark was right at the blue rgb.. i have the lighting off maybe it was just white light trying to turn on then turning off??

Hi guys, as the title states, I saw a spark out of the blue while casually gaming on my PC which I own for the past 1,5 years. The spark kinda appeared from the front panel of the PC where the radiator and fans are located. Nothing stopped responding, everything was fine after some restarts and seperately checking the hardware with another psu, no smell of burned plastic or anything. The radiator has some dust between the fins but not so much in case that could be the reason. Anyway I am kinda worried cause I am not sure about where it actually came from. Any ideas?

Hey guys, I’m kind of freaking out atm. A huge typhoon swept over the area a couple days ago and I unplugged the power strips that my pc, monitors and perypherals were connected to. (I slept through the storm but my flatmate says there was no lightning) The next morning I plugged the power strips back into the wall socket, tried to tirn my pc on, saw a spark in the chassis accompanied by a loud pop (similar to a light bulb fusing out) and the pc went dead. Tried to turn it on again, nothing so I swapped to my older psu and the pc powered on but the monitors both displayed an error message saying theyre receiving no signal (my on board graphics are turned off they were interfering with the card) The pc ended up in a repair shop where they determined the only parts that failed were the EVGA PSU and my 1080ti but the motherboard is fine and so is everything else connected only to that. What could have caused this? Faulty PSU? Or should I be suspecting the outlet or the wiring in the apartment? We’ve been living here for 8+ years and nothing like this has happened. All other stuff connected to the power strip also seems to be ok. Any ideas? I’m legit scared to plug in my newly rebuilt rig now

Recently I've been noticing that when I switch on my system after having it switched off and unplugged for a while it makes a loud-ish spark inside the PSU right behind the switch. This doesn't happen every time I switch on, only when the PC is off for about a day and the PSU switch is off, but the system itself never has any trouble powering on and performs completely normally, should I be worried. Hey, I often test things with my bench power supply, but yesterday, as I tested some sparks with a coil I shorted something and the fuze didn't blow. Now I have a supply which is locked to 30 Volts but can deliver the standard 3 amps. My question is, if you could tell me the parts that could be broken (maybe to fix). It's not digital, it is analog. Thanks Paul

Hi guys, Just a quick one, I'm not sure if I should be posting this here but anyway, I'm looking at getting a drone soon and I was about to get a dji spark with the fly more combo, or a phantom 3, however I just stumbles across a drone made by xiaomi and it's 4K!, the mi drone is about $100 more with an extra battery, here in Australia compared to the spark, and the phantom 3 is about $230 more then the spark with only one battery, I just wasn't sure if I should get a spark or the xiaomi drone, any help would be greatly appreciated. ~Tom

I bought a new pc a few days earlier. One the first day the psu made a loud pop noise and my pc turned off and I immediately turned off the main board switch. i turned it on again and it was working fine until it did the same thing again the next day .This time I didn't turn off the main switch immediately and saw the pc restarted so I assume it was going to restart the first time too. I went to the shop and got my psu replaced. That day my pc worked fine but on the day after that same thing happened except this time a spark also came out of my psu(is was plugged in a different switch board btw). My pc did not turn on this time because the corresponding mcb switch of the plug point fell. i turned on my pc and saw that it was working fine but I am not using it till I find a solution. I use my pc for long times before the psus pop btw. So I was replacing the thermal paste on my CPU/GPU for my laptop and I was being a bit dumb, but I was trying to disconnect the battery from the MOBO and it slipped and touched the board gently. I saw a blue/white spark and that was it. I panicked and started looking for burn marks. None visible. I immediately put it back together and it powered up ok. Then I took it back apart, replaced the thermal paste and started it again. I now write this post on here on said laptop after running a full benchmark for BIOSHOCK Infinite. Everything seems okay, but could I be missing something that may affect it later on down the road? Any advice helps. Thanks guys!

I'm having major problems with my personal build. I built my own system about 7-8 months ago and it's been working perfectly fine until earlier today. All of a sudden my screens went black and it turned off and wouldn't restart at all. I opened the case and tried again the gpu fans spin once and then nothing. I have tried removing everything from the case and tested a new power supply with one stick of ram and the system turned on without my ssd or any other hard drives plugged in. However when I went and plugged in my ssd and then turned it on again the sata cable on both the motherboard and ssd end sparked up with smoke. I was wondering if anyone knew what I should do from here. Seriously worried that the whole system may be dead. Thanks for any help ill list the specs below. MSI X99S SLI PLUS MSI GTX 970 i7 5820k 4x4gb corsair Vengeance ddr4 250gb crucial ssd H110 cooler Silverstone 800w gold plus psu Again I really appreciate any help.

I bought a evga 750w psu a few days ago, and I used the jumper to test if its working since I don't have a desktop. right after I plug in the power cable and switch it on, there was a spark right under the psu fan and its dead. I made an RMA and they are going to refund the money. Now that I give the same psu another try (since its $10 cheaper the other day I checked) I was wonder could anyone here figure out if I did anything wrong? or it is just another defective unit?

I was in the middle of a dungeon on ffxiv, I usually get around 130fps on max while playing it but it runs kind of hot. the pc randomly shut off and when I turned it back on I saw a spark from on top of the msi 780.

So I stumbled upon a game in development the other day that seems to have slipped under my radar for quite a while. It is called "Project Spark" and is to be released on Windows 8 Platforms, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The principal of the game is that you can make anything you want, from a tower defense, to an rpg, to an fps, all the way to a sidescroller. I have been watching some of the archived live streams and seen the devs discussing worlds of 5x5km sizes, custom motion capture and voice acting, as well as stories as long as Skyrim. I'm really excited for this game, and although I honestly didn't care about Kinect before now, it makes me happy that a developer is doing such good things with it so soon. I posted this here because I will be getting it on PC first most likely, but the Xbox One version is appealing as I feel that it will be supported more and have more features enable (at least until Kinect 2.0 comes for the PC). So what is your guys' thoughts on the game? Does it look good/bad? Any ideas on what you'd build? It'd be great to see a LTT build team on either PC or XB1 to build worlds, minigames and full blown story games to be shared on these forums and with people from the rest of the world!
