Hello, I am looking for the smallest possible case that can hold 2 GPU's. And no, I know that SLI/Crossfire is dead. I want to do GPU passthrough because I want to use linux while still being able to game at the same time. I CAN do custom loop, but I would much rather not as I have to move the computer around a lot. I also do not want to buy new GPUs. I have a GTX 1080(Gaming X), and a 5600XT (Thicc II) Thank you for any responses.

Hello, Soon I will be moving to university, I was looking to bring my computer there as it has most of my stuff on it. Howerver I feel right now the case is too big for a small dorm room, so I've come here looking for some suggestions on small cases that would fit all the things I currently have inside my computer, I would also have to replace the moterboard due to the current one being a non-standard dumb Dell thing. I do have a few requirements for the case and motherboard. Case: Black or white is fine, but I don't want any transparant window or anything, a little RGB is fine but I don't want to go overboard. The case should also include some fans. Motherboard: nothing too much required for me apart from just a good selection of IO (including front IO) and enough sata connections for the blu-ray drive, storage drive and the front IO ports Thank you for all the help, here below is some infomation about my build and buget: Country: UK Budget: £200-£400 Current components excluding motherboard and case: Graphics card: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Mini Power supply: Evga 500 W1 (ASIN: B01E4YRP8W) CPU: Intel core i7-4790 Drive: Samsung 2TB 860 QVO blu-ray drive: ASUS BC-12D2HT 12X Blu-Ray Combo (ASIN: B00F0SQL6O)

So I wanted to buy a RX 6750 XT to get that SAM, but I have the fractal meshify C case here is the info I have case max GPU length with front fan mounted is 315 the GPU is 323 mm long, so where 10 mm short but. An average is fan is 25 mm thickness, so if I get a 15 mm thick slim fan Then we have a GPU space of 325 my question is this is 2 mm enough space for the GPU or will I need to get a new case or do I have to remove the fan and have no slim fan there (the GPU you see in the pic is the 1660 super, it's not the RX 6750XT) (RN I have 3 25 mm thick fans in the front)

Budget (including currency): from 1000€ to 1700€ for the build Country: Slovenia, Europe Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: It will be running UnRaid and it will be used for storage and some streaming (Plex) Other details: I'm planning on adding storage with time and as needed, but my final goal is to use 6HDDs and two M.2 drives. I want to start with 2 IronWolf NAS HDD 6TB with no parity drive. Once I add 4 adittional drives (planning on using either 4TB or 6TB), I will use one of them as parity if one of the drives fails. Parts: Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X570-I Memory: Corsair Vengance 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHZ SSD: 2x Kingston Fury Renegade 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 HDD: IronWolf NAS drives, either 4TB or 6TB, SATA 3 7200rpm CPU cooler: Noctua NH C14S I don't know how to check if the M.2 drives are supported by the motherboard or not, I have seen on some motherboards that the second M.2 drive disables 2 SATA ports, some boards say that one drive is PCIe and the second is not, does that mean that only one NVMe drive can be used and the second drive is M.2 only? And I also tried to understand what keys mean on the M.2 drive and is that even necessary for me to know? I am mostly curious if the parts I chosen would work together or not and if the parts would be good for streaming two Plex streams. I would also like to know, if I would want to make a VM, would I need a better processor and more RAM or would the parts I selected be good enough? I would want to use the VM for testing some game servers, but that would be only running when friends come to my house. I want the server to be as quiet as possible so I hipe my CPU cooler will dissapate enough heat for the fan to turn on as little as possible. I have not chosen any PSU as of yet, I am guessing a 600 watt PSU would be enough? If you have any recommendations on motherboard choice, I would welcome it as this motherboard is a bit expensive and I dont know if I need all of the features, but if it turns out you guys say I need it or something better than I will get that. Also also... I'm a bit lost on the case... its hard to find anything in my country so most likely I will have to order the case from Germany or some other country, but I am looking for something that would house all my parts and nothing more, I would like to find the smallest case possible and to have the server to be as silent as possible. Thank you

I've been looking for a way to make my itx gaming pc ( sugo 13, 11.5 liter) smaller. I was thinking about getting a Dan Case or Dr zyber sentry (7.2 liter)case, but both cases are more than a $150 and not including the SFX PSU with 80 plus. Then, I Tek everything where use a industrial pc case, logic mc600 for $100 and pico PSU and power adapter for $150, but I need then hpplex PSU which makes cost $100. Later, on Amazon looking for tiny PSU then I found flex ATX PSU which were very small about the size of a gpu and had 80+ certification for $60 and up, and I could build enclosure for it and stick it on there. Wondering what is flex atx it for server pc and small business pc, so I found a server rack with just enough for a GPU or could made to have one. I am Asking for feedback on the idea. Tell case makers about flex atx PSU or someone make case that uses flex atx PSU. Here my pc spec: Cpu: I3 6100 Motherboard : ASRock B150M-ITX Gpu : Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 0 Mini ITX OC Case :iStarUSA D-118V2-ITX Black Metal / Aluminum 1U Rackmount ( planned on adding more air vents PSU:Solid Gear Flex ATX 400 Energy Star Certified Power Supply SDGR-FLXB400( undecided on)

Hello guys. Like a lot of people I like having my computer small, but I don't like to compromise much in terms of horsepower. I'm wondering if anyone can help me find the smallest case you can get that fits a normal ATX sized motherboard and full length graphics card. I have no need for any HDD or SSD mounts or 5,25" bays. Currently the smallest I can find is this: NZXT S340. And getting a new case is cheaper than getting a 2011-3 socket motherboard, those are pricey. Attached image is a little pic of my current pc and case. I removed the rivets so I could get rid of the HDD bay that was on there. It's an Aerocool DS200, I quite like it very much but feels a bit too big sometimes.

Hello, What do yall think of the Noctua NH-D9L cooling an i5 4690k at 4.5 Ghz? It will have a 120mm and 80mm fans (attached to the case) blowing against the cooler. Thoughts? If I am crazy then I can lower my clock speed.

Hi, I'm building a PC and I'll probably need to transport it around in an airplane so I've some size constraints issues with the case. This is my system build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/C98thq The case there is a mid tower 430 mm long but I'd like to know if it's possible to reduce the size of the case hosting the same motherboard (full ATX), I'd prefer to have a case short and wide rather than tall and slim like almost all the cases I see around. My limit is 450 mm (the width of my luggage) so 430 mm is too much considering we want to put some stuffing in right? I've seen some case short and wide where the PSU and disks where mounted in a separate compartment from the mobo but I don't remember if it was full ATX or not. Does any of you had similar issues?

Hello, I am looking to build a computer to fit in a drawer in my tool box. The box has power and all that but my problem is finding a case that will fit the dimensions of the drawer. They are H:9 1/4" W:15 3/4" L: 26". Any suggestions?

I want to know what I have to do from the following options to be able to run: Intel Pentium Kabylake G4560 Zotac GTX 1050ti 4-GB factory OC MSI B250M PRO-VD If not, please link everything I'll need to get to be able to run the specified parts.

So i bought a new case! I went from a anidees AI Crystal Cube (https://www.amazon.com/anidees-AI-Crystal-CUBE-LITE-Tempered-Support-Radiator/dp/B01MY65HNW/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8) to a In Win 301(https://www.amazon.com/InWin-301-Black-Tempered-Micro-ATX/dp/B07229QBYM/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1551144350&sr=1-1&keywords=inwin+301). The In Win 301 has hardly any room to tuck away cables right without there being nests of wires. Are there any good ways to get shorten cables without the DIY method?

Can We make a Desktop run hotter than a Apple laptop?
Eric Kazer posted a topic in Hobby Electronics
For the start, Rosewill FBM-01 case Very small. Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H Motherboard MSI HD 7970 GPU 2 Optical drives to reduce space in the case HX 850 PSU if it will fit 4GB DDR2 800 MHz RAM Windows XP because of heavy system resource use and inefficiency Case size 13.78" Hight, 6.89 Wide, 13.86" Deep Will try to cram a HD7970, HX 850, AMD 1090t CPU with a small aluminum heat sink, and 2 optical drives to see how hot it can get. It will make a good space heater if it does not catch fire. I would use FX, but they are all in use still. I will post after I have fun building the stupidest thing I can come up with. Just building it for pun and fun. Trying to have the shittyest ventalation possible. Really trying to build on current case offerings. Should be interesting. Lets see how stupid this can be. Again, Just for Pun and Fun. -
Hello all, I'n not quite sure if this has to go on this section or to the pc case section cause the main subject is still Air Flow but also asking if needed a bigger case. this is the case fans config 2 intake - 3 exaust with an Noctua D15 installed under are the temps on load, see the max values(font-filtered panel and side-glass panel closed) running Black Desert Online on high settings at 1440p @ 144hz display on GTX 1080 G1 ( on default profile it goes to 83 but i set the temp cap to 80) but i'm more worried about CPU and MB temps Would a larger case with bigger space between GPU, CPU Cooler and side fans, improve my temperatures as in parts longevity? I can't really, at this moment, distinguish performance difference related to this.

Hello,This is my case, a Corsair Carbide 400C https://imgur.com/FGdKujZ (I've marked the fans for you)I recently upgraded to a MSI GTX 1070TI Gaming, and notice it's running a little hot (upper 70's) when playing really intensive games (I play at 144 fps, 1080p). In benchmarks, these card's temps are often lower under load, but I suspect they don't test in such a relatively small case I'm looking to get some better airflow around the card, since I suspect a lot of hot air gets trapped underneath, but I don't immediately see a better solution. 2 front fans are 700 RPM, the radiator ones go up to 1200 (but seldom do), and the top one is a 700 RPM fan as well.Any tips?

Hey, as Christmas is nearing I wanted to make myself a small gift of a new gaming PC. As the title says I wanted it to put it in a small-ish case, I have chosen some of the things that I want to be in but they all can be subjected to change. I live in Poland but I might be able to get a hold of some parts from the US. My budget is around $1200 or ~4000 pln but if needs be can go a bit higher. I want the PC to be able to play new games at 60FPS on preferably high or higher settings. The parts I have initially chosen: Case- Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX GPU- some kind of GTX 1070 (depends on availability) CPU- i5-8400 Motherboard- ASUS ROG Strix H270I Gaming I know I need a cooler, memory, storage, a power supply and if you can recommend any either wide 1080p or a 1440p monitor.
-
I am planning a new comptuer build in the phanteks enthoo evolve shift and with the help of PC part picker i have come up with a short list of coolers that would, although i am open for other options so if you know of something better please let me know. I will be using a second gen ryzen cpu (looking to overclock) but i can figure out which of the cpu coolers would work best for the price. - Corsair - H80i v2 - Noctua - NH-L9x65 - Cooler Master - MasterLiquid 120

What I'm looking for: I'm looking for a small case that is easy to carry and have room for a full 1080 and several HDD's plus a full ATX mobo. Or a full size case that is easy to carry and light. Why I need it: Can't play many VR games in my basement due to limited space and low ceiling. But I don't want to move everything upstairs. What I have looked at already: My first thought was the Fractal design node 605 but it wont fit my 1080 and HDD's, and can't afford a NAS server just yet. Also, first time poster but long time viewer.

So, my new case (H300mm,W130mm,D450mm) has holes for airflow only at the top and bottom. The motherboard is oriented so that my IO is in the bottom of the case and the GPU works sort of like a divider making "two rooms" in the case as shown in the picture. I have 4x92mm fans in the top. Now my question is: Should I: A. Pull air up through the case using dust filters in the bottom and effectively creating negative pressure in the case. In this configuration the fans would work "with" the heat as hot air rises upward. B.Push air down through the case. Positive pressure in the case but working "against" the rising hot air. Also in alternative A. There is a possibility that the PSU will suck back in it's own exhaust air. I tried to illustrate this in the drawing. EDIT: (A and B is labled wrongly in the drawing, it should be opposite.) Any thoughts on best practice?

Hello there LTT forum memebers. Someone I know of is going to make a silent and small PC build. He isn't going to game on the machine. He just needs it for productive uses. SOOOOOOO, what computer cases that are for either a microATX or Mini ITX board. The case can be a small tower or desktop, but lets go for silent.

Hey everyone, I'm going to be living in a college dorm soon, and I'm bringing my desktop with me, but I want to find a new case for it first. I'm currently using a Fractal Design Refine R4 and I love it, but it's giant and it's flashy (huge open window on the side). I'm looking for a smaller, more subtle case that won't take up much space, and won't attract too much attention (I don't want it to get stolen). I'm willing to switch to a micro-atx mobo, and I would prefer a mini-itx but it might be too hard because my CPU is an i5 2500k which uses a 1155 socket and not many mini-itx boards support that, and I don't know if I want to switch CPUs yet because of the price. Does anyone have any good cases that aren't gonna break the bank, and would suit my needs? Thanks in advance!
