Hi guys, long time Linus fan here but new in the forum. I'm a sleever and cable maker from Italy, today I'd like to share with you some of my most interesting and unique works I've had a sweet spot for custom cables ever since I became a PC enthusiast, and lately I've been experimenting with braids, new materials, cable illumination, and a lot of other fancy things. Cable making today is kind of a dying sector of modding for a lot of reasons and I'm quite sad about it. I hope to inspire other people into getting to try it! Opinions and critics are very appreciated Silver cables: only electrical cable - no sleeving. The cable is silver-plated copper with transparent teflon insulation, really high quality stuff that is usually used in aerospace applications. It reflects and refracts light like no other and it's truly wonderful in a well-lighted and/or RGB build: the more light you give around it, the more it starts looking like illuminated optical fiber. Braided cables: after trying my hand with a really complex prototype that was looking wonderful but wasn't able to finish completely (inspired by the Crysis nanosuit), I went on doing more simple braidings. However there's still much more to be experimented in this area! Would really love to see what other people come up with

Hey guys, I'm working on modding my Watercooled Node 202 build (w/ Corsair H55 AIO Cooler)... So the next step on my list is to get some sleeved cables for my Chieftec SFX-500GD-C, but unfortunately neither BitFenix or CableMod offer specific cable sets for this brand or model... Now one option isto replace it with the Corsair SF500 PSU, but that would mean extra effort to sell my current PSU etc. How much different are actually the PSUs from another? Isn't there the possibility that I can simply use the offered cables of another brand? If that's not an option, can I sleeve the existing cables and cut them shorter? Thanks in advance for any suggestions and tips

So I'm looking to Get sleeved cables for my Nzxt Hale82 V2 550w Power Supply. (Lets face it the included 24 pin is hideous.. For the money i spent I'm actually mad. But I'm seeing that it is incredibly hard to find something already sleeved. I just received the PSU today. I like the look of the PSU itself, it goes well in the build I'm doing, but again i would like Custom and not extensions. Is there someone that knows if i could go with a similar brand cable but it will work for the Hale? Or should i just ship this back and go down another road? Thanks for your time! Edit: I understand the concept of sleeving them myself but rather not do it.

I got almost all the parts for my 2nd build and i'm still looking for some cool Cablemod sleeved cable ideas. Most of the build will be black with some RGB elements in the motherboard and i'm installing 6 Corsair LL120/140 fans which i will probably set on Spiral Rainbow. It would be awesome if some of you can post some pictures of your cables or ideas.

Hey LTT Community, I need your help! I'm looking forward of building a new build. I have everything I need except nice looking sleeved cables for my straight power 11 850W PSU. There's the problem. I searched quite a while, but I wasn't able to find any compatible and nice sleeved cables. First I saw the Alchemy 2.0 from BitFenix, but they looked kinda thin. Then I saw some cables from CableMod. They're nice and the most have cable combs, but they're not compatible with the SP 11. I also like their ModMesh cables. I am looking for good sleeved cables that are not to thin and are like the ModMesh Cables and they need to be all black. I know that I can customize cables on the CableMod website, but that's way too expensive. Or do I have to spend so much? Can you give me some better suggestions? I hope you can help me out! Hey there, Sorry to bother you, but I have a question. A while ago i build my gaming desktop. Now I really want to spice up my PC with some white sleeved cables. I found some on amazon a kit with CPU power, 24 pin, and pci-e cables, but first want to know (before i order): Can cheap(er) sleeved cables damage your components? And can i cause something like coil whine? Its from the brand Reaper cables. My pc specs: Ryzen 7 3700x RTX 2070 super MSI 16 Gb DDR4 3600Mhz X570 motherboard (asus ROG) and a 700watt PSU from seasonic. Thank you for your time, I hope you can help me out.

Hey all! I'm looking to add some sleeved cables to a build I have planned. I don't know how many of which cables I need, though. (Please don't comment on the storage set-up.) https://pcpartpicker.com/user/SalemRobin/saved/qXKf8d

Hi all, I've bought a Corsair HXi PSU and looking for sleeved black cables and cable combs to purchase in the UK - does anyone know where I can get these? I have found Type 4 cables on scan but my PSU has Type 3 - does Type 4 work or do I need all Type 3 cables?

Hello! Recently I've upgraded my PSU to a Cougar GX-F 80 Plus, 750W It's fully modular, but I was wondering if it's possible to buy a sleeved cable kit for it. Would the Corsair ones work, or do I need to rearrange the pins accordingly to my PSU. Product link: https://cougargaming.com/de/products/psus/gxf/ Thank you!

So i am going to make my own sleeved cables for the corsair hx750i psu and i have just noticed on corsairs website that the 24pin on motherboard side contains a pin with no terminal on it. Does this mean i will have to make a split cable or can i put a terminal down it ( so no spit wires ) with out any danger to the motherboard?

Cheapest place to get sleeved cables? (White+yellow)
Bananasplit_00 posted a topic in Cases and Mods
Basically the title, I'm looking for some white and yellow sleeved cables for my PSU to use in Northern Bee. Only need the 24 pin and two 8 pin PCIe seeing as that's all you see. And no daisy chain 8 pins, that can drop performance because NVIDIA hates you lol. Also dosent look as good. Can't be extentions because there is no room for the standard cables to go(they barely fit as is tbh). Using the Cablemod configuratior ends up at $80-$150 which seems pretty crazy for three cables so anyone got anything cheaper? Because at that price I'll just stick with the ones I have and keep my cash -
I want to switch out the 24 pin, and the 2x 8 pin cables that run to my mobo and PSU. I saw that Phanteks makes extensions, and they sell a kit with what I'm looking for, but I heard that extensions reduce efficiency due to the longer length in cable (more resistance- but C'mon, how much more in a 500mm cable?), and that would mean that the basement of my case will get pretty messy with the extra length of cables shoved down there (it won't be visible, but I'll know it's there...). I don't want to spend a metric ton of money, the Phanteks cable set is just under 25 euros, and I live in Greece, which means cablemod is out of the question (both for shipping and financial reasons). Can anyone recommend a different set of cables, or should I go with the Phanteks ones? I'm planning on purchasing off of this website: http://www.e-shop.gr/

So I've been looking for 16 slot cable combs (my GPU has 2x 8pin... So yeah...) and it turns out they're not that common. I've looked at almost each store here in Greece, and not one of them has them. Most have 14 slot. Now I was considering purchasing 24 slot combs and just cutting them to size, but they are EXPENSIVE AF here, and I don't want to do that (yet). A second option I might have is to see if I can 3D print my own cable combs at the University, but there is a minute chance they'll do such a thing (I have to ask, but most likely I'll get turned down even if I offer to pay for the material). Finally, I can purchase online from Great Britain or some other EU country, but shipping and handling is almost 500% the price of the combs. I have taken into consideration Ebay, but ETA is late November so I have that as a worst case scenario, because I don't have a paypal, and don't really want to open one just for a one time deal worth less than <10 euro purchase. I would like to hear what you guys would recommend me to do. Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone! So 2AM GMT+2 time we released a new color configurator for our website! We have been working for a couple weeks now and we like the outcome.. And we want to hear your feedback on this! Introducing a new revolutionary way of customizing your colors! We have developed a custom color configurator so not only can you choose your colors but you can visualise and see your custom extensions come to life . This will make it so much easier to order your custom extensions and to match them to your build. But that's not all! We are also in the process of choosing connector colors and comb color in the same configurator !! You can test it out here: https://modguru.net What do you guys think about it? Thank you for everything!! Introducing a new revolutionary way of customizing your colors! Building a gaming PC. Thinking of getting some sleeved cables for my EVGA 750 G2 but I don't know which cables I need. I'm going with cablemods E-series of cables on the NCIX website (US retailers are out of stock on whites). http://www.ncix.com/detail/cablemod-e-series-g2-p2-f4-118789.htm They have a basic kit which has: 1 x 24-pin ATX cable (600mm) 1 x 4+4 EPS cable (700mm) 2 x 6+2 pin PCI-e cable (600mm) I don't know if these are enough though. The other option is to get the full kit which is much more expensive and has every possible cable. PSU: EVGA 750 G2 Case: Fractal Define S MOBO: Asus z170-A GPU: EVGA GTX 980 Ti CPU Cooler: Corsair H115i SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 1TB Noctua Fans Will the basic kit cover what I need? (All the visible cables). Can someone tell me which component each of the cables is for please, thanks!

Hi I have a cx600m, I want to get sleeved cables for this PSU The 28pin can get an extension cable and the others can get thier own cables. My problem is that the PSU comes with the 1 8pin to 2 8pin connector. Right now I have the MSI GTX 960 4G which requires 1 8 pin. I know this is a bad Idea but for me it makes scene to me and I want to get two of them in the future to run in sli. It also looks bad ass. I cant find any sleeved cables for this type of connector. 1 8pin on the psu to 2 of them getting outputted. I also cant get a new PSU because I just got this one after my old one died. I also forgot to mention the cables I want are Red and Black. Does anyone know where to get this type of sleeved cable?

Today i come to you to ask how i may make these rainbow cables look better. I want to know if i should get cable extension, completely sleeved cables, what color, and from where. I have upgraded to the EVGA P2 1000W, and have looked mostly at cablemod? If anyone has suggestions, color schemes im all ears btw: my LED's are RGB so they can change to a different color scheme too Thank you! Picture of my rig: http://imgur.com/gallery/jXgkGfy/new

I've been putting together parts for my first computer build and have been pretty set on the SuperNova psu, but just recently stumbled across the Bitfenix Fury which includes individually sleeved cables. The ribbon cables with the GS look great, but they can't touch the fury's included cables. I'm looking 650w power supplies. The GS runs for $95, while I found the Fury for $85. This is where my knowledge ends, so I came here for the wisdom of which psu is better, the most I'll ever be running off this psu will be a core i7 4790k with a 980ti maybe at one point, although initially I'll go with an i5 4690k with a 960 or 970. Thanks for the help -Mace

Hey guys, So I'm investing in the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 Power Supply for my new rig, and want to use red sleeved cabling to maintain my internal's black & red aesthetics. I've looked online, and seen different sites / people say different things about the sleeved cable options from Corsair, BitFenix, etc. So my potentially very naive question is does it matter if I use Corsair (or BitFenix, or whomever) cabling on an EVGA power supply, or do I have to get particular EVGA Made / EVGA Compatible cabling? Thanks all!

I'm soon to be embarking on a rig rebuild and I want to get some nice looking sleeved cables. CableMod doesn't have compatible cables, and I'd like not to use extensions (though I won't rule them out.) I will not sleeve the PSU myself, I'm not ready to take on a task like that in terms of time and concentration. I'm in New York and I want something with a black/red sleeve pattern, where can I find compatible cables?

Hey there folks i just logged in with my Steam account to ask some questions i couldnt dig up anywhere because they are super specific! As you probably haven't guessed by the title, Im doing my first build. To be precise a Prodigy build. As the minute i saw that case i fell in love with the interior and exterior design. So i embarked on a massive quest, searching far and wide on the immortal plain known as the internet to find my parts. Since i'm on a tight budget as i am a rather poor fellow i came up with this. Case: Bitfenix Prodigy Motherboard: ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+ CPU: AMD x4 860k GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 750 Ti 2gb PSU: HALE82 v2 550W NZXT* RAM: Kingston Fury White 8gb DDR3-1600 CL10 kit (2x4) *It used to be the corsair CX430M but ill explain why im probably going with the HALE later Now when i had added all this loot to my wheelbarrow and was about to press the Deliver said loot to your castle button. I felt that my loot wasnt quite glamarous enough understanding the full consequences of me pimping my ride i looked up ancient forums. Which contained information on LEDS, painting your gpu, and different colors with blue LEDS. Since i love myself some aesthetics i settled for this extra list of stuff A windowed side panel for my prodigy 2x 120mm blue led strips from bitfenix alchemy heat resistant spray paint for my gpu's shell Enermax ETS-T40-W Then a few days after this i saw that bitfenix also has sleeved cables So i thought well let's go with a Modular PSU then and make it white to go even better with the whole build And know i am hopelessly stuck as to choose the best color for the cables as i dont know how blue would look and i dont want to overkill it with too much white so here i am wondering which color of sleeved cables i want (ps. i have a HDD laying around so its not missing) If you have any suggestions or advice on the total build then please, do tell!

As with the new Modflex products by Cablemod, there is the option of designing your own custom cables more simply. However, after further research it turns out they only provide connectors for 24 pin, 4 pin, 6 pin and 8 pin. Would it be possible for me to buy connectors for Molex and SATA from different manufactures and use the cables by Cablemod for my build?
