Hello there, my PC sometimes crashes for absolutetly no reason. I thought, that it was because of my PSU, but an online calculator said, that about 560 Watts should be enough, my PSU has 700 Watts. I can't find the problem, it happens at least once a day, when I use my PC. The issue only exists since I have the RTX 4070, before I had an GTX 1650. With that one I had no problems at all. I'd like to notice, that I have a few internal HDDs and a few SSDs. Is there a way to see what causes this problem? It mainly happens when I play games btw. Thank you already!

History: So my PC was built in Jan 2019. always used 1080p 60/75hertz TN/VA monitors. Even back then, my second monitor would suffer from turning on and off during gameplay or even normal usage. It was the bad house wiring and no Earthing connection to the PC. Fast forward to 2022. Got a new 144hertz. it does the same thing, when turning on Fans, the monitor turns off for a second. We fixed the wiring, that solved the issue. 2 weeks ago, Cleaned the PC and changed CPU fan and after that the monitor is not turning off from power fluctuations, But ever since ive got 3 BSOD's. Browers crash at random times. PC on its own closes heavy demanding Applications like Steam. So fresh installed the Drivers and that stopped that BS. Here is the issue. every time i start a game, my PC does this weird notification sounds of a Device getting plugged in and Unplugged. Further more, my monitor turns on and off with that same plugged and unplugged noise when im gaming for some time. It depends from game to game how its affecting the Rate of this issue. Here are is the list of games ive played and the amount of time the Screen turns on and Off. 1. Halo MCC - H2A = when ever i fire my scrab gun for more than 2 seconds as burst. (halo 2 Skulls on) Videos to show issue: around 16 seconds into both the videos. 2. Forza horizon 4. Never does this. i get 120-144 Frame in Forza and runs smoothly and never i have got this Monitor on/off issue 3. Valhiem = it does this once ever like 30 mins 4. World of Tanks = Does this once every 45 mins, sometimes every 10 mins Yesterday i got BSOD when i shot a tank while full zoomed in, and the tank was bound to explode, instead my PC gave me blue screen 5. Hitman Blood money: was streaming this game 2 days ago and i got the issue every 20 mins 6. 7 days to Die = Every 1 minute. it was soo bad that i deleted the game. FORGOT TO MENTION: This only happens when i am using this 144 hertz Acer Nitro on DP, but when i plug it through HDMI, the issue goes away. My old BenQ monitor was plugged through same HDMI cable and it still had issues. even tried to use a convertor cable for using both monitors at same time, cuz they both were HDMI and GPU only has 1 HDMI port. back then i used DVI port to HDMi cable. The GPU is running in Silent mode and these are the Idle stats I would like to know how to Diagnose the issue with the PC, is it the GPU, Mobo or the monitor or something else

Hello, I've recently installed 4x 32gb modules (KINGSTON Fury 3200MHz (KF432C16BBAK2/64)) to my current setup (Ryzen 7 2700x & Aorus X570 Elite) and I've noticed there are quite a few random blue screen errors. Could this be due to the fact that memory speed in the BIOS was set to 3200mhz, 'cause apparently 2700x only supports speeds up to 2933mhz? If I set it to 2933mhz, should I expect "smooth sailing" so to speak? And to add something a bit unrelated to the upper subject.....is it true that RGB FUSION is affecting the external harddrives? Thank you all in advance.

Hey guys I was wondering if anybody could help me figure out why I'm getting lower fps than usual. I mainly play Warzone and I searched up benchmarks and found this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bocsq7VP53w (He has a near identical parts). When I play in game on low settings, I get a low of 70 fps, average of 78fps, and a high of 90 fps in less structured areas. The guy in the video is getting an average of 100 fps on areas where I would be getting 74 fps. I am running dual channel as well so I'm not sure what's happening. Here is my rig: CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x GPU: GTX 1080 EVGA FTW edition RAM: DDR4 2x8 2800 mhz

Hi, I am concern about the temp of my CPU while gaming, I play a lot of rainbow 6 so I'm assuming it's a heavy load (~90% CPU usage), I recently installed 4 new fans and a Dual tower CPU cooler ( Cooler Master MA620P ) My temp will be at ~72 if I put all my fans at 100% speed but its not so good to do I'm using them at around 60%( only while playing ) but the temp will go up, I saw it peeked at 88C. When idle it will be around 40C with ~40-50% speed fans. I saw that it could be how much thermal past you put and I remember applying 3 small lines so I don't miss a corner or somethings, I've also removed the plastic in case anybody think it could be that. I've read that it was normal for AMD Ryzen CPU to get high temp but this doesn't reassure unfortunately. So here I am asking you guys if anybody have the same setup as me, if you think of something that could be the problem or if I should just use a water cooler. ALSO, I recently had to force cmos my BIOS and my AMD Ryzen master would tell my my Voltage was a 1.55V but in the actual BIOS, it says 1.352V. I don't OC my CPU BUT I do OC my GPU (1080 TI Zotac) even tho my temp were pretty much the same before which is weird, i upgrade all my fans and the temp of my CPU barely changed.

First time posting here, just trying to find anyone who might have a solution. So earlier today I upgraded my Ryzen 3 2200G to a Ryzen 7 2700X (took advantage of a Newegg sale) and a 3200mhz 16 gig kit of ram. Because of the higher wattage required by the 2700X I also upgraded to 1 650 Watt 80+ bronze power supply. So here are the current specs of my PC after the upgrade: Ryzen 7 2700x Corsair vengeance 16 gig 3200mhz kit Azza digital rgb 650 watt PSU Gigabyte ab350m DS3H Western Digital 5400 rpm 1TB HDD Some random Adata 120g sata ssd Windows 10 pro 64 bit So after wrestling with it all day I got the PC to turn on and I ran into 2 issues. Not All of my ram is being detected Bios recognizes all 16 gigs of ram, and Windows recognizes that it is all installed but does not mark it under total physical memory. When I open msconfig and go into advanced boot options the maximum ram box is unticked. I've reseated the ram multiple times and that has not solved the problem. My motherboard audio is not working. I plug in my headphones to the realtek audio drivers on my motherboard and I get no windows notification that they are plugged in and no audio comes through them. When I run my headphones through a built-in audio interface in a microphone I have lying around and it detects as an audio output and functions properly. I have tried updating the drivers from the gigabyte website. The point is, I'm really looking for solutions for these issues since it's already taken all day to get to this point and can't find other people with the exact same problems. (copied from reddit)

Okay so here are the specs: Tomahawk b450 (not Max) Ryzen 7 2700x Gtx 1070 hybrid (from EVGA with the aio) Anker 777 thunderbolt 4 dock (for laptops - connect peripherals, ethernet, monitors, and power) A likely junk USB 4 extension cable 550W 80+ gold PSU Troubleshooting steps tried: Reset CMOS Switched PSU Switched power cables Switched display cables Wha happened: ADHD-no-impulse-control plugged the dock into the usb-c port of the mobo using a thunderbolt 4 cable and the aforementioned extension cable wondering if the peripherals and Ethernet would passthrough. It did! I thought great, nice easy way to use all my nonsense for my laptop for on my gaming rig without an additional USB switch and network switch. Then I unplugged and cable managed for a thousand year. Replugged everything and now doesn't POST. Tried clearing cmos. Nothing. Getting a VGA error led on the mobo. I've got a cheapo gpu coming in the mail so I can test whether it's the GPU or the mobo (maybe CPU ). My question is: does anyone with the technical know-how know...how what I did could break everything? Did the power passthrough from the dock make it's way and fry the GPU? Could it have fried the mobo I/O which then kicks up a VGA led error? Power works, all fans spin, tried the troubleshooting steps above. So yeah, help!

Hi, I was looking around the Internet today and found another rog strix motherboard, the x470 gaming f. I heard that the b450f gaming f was a bad mobo with bad vrms. HOWEVER is this board any different? Would it be adequate to power a R7 2700x and where does it sit against example the b450 tomahawk in terms of vrms and specs? Thanks

Ryzen 7 2700x, RTX 2070S Planning to streaming, recording gaming. I am worried about bottlenecking but I don't even know why that happens and what exactly is it? For my understanding choosing a poor CPU for a good GPU. My screen will be 2560 x 1440 old apple thunderbolt. I plan to play and stream (anything that I can get my hands on) at 720p (maybe even 1080p if I am not aiming too high), aiming for stable 60 fps. I also want to enjoy games (modded minecraft mostly, story based FPS) at 1440p without any recording or streaming. But my main concern with this build is NOT enjoying gaming but streaming and recording. Should I be worried with choice of my CPU or it is all right? Does down sizing my screen resolution have an impact on performance of CPU or GPU, should I with an exact screen? Thank you! (I have found this similar topic but it doesn't really answer a lot of my questions: )

Hi! I had some questions and need some answers. Please examine all of this and help me figure out what I should do. CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x Motherboard: Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 7 BIOS version: F4g Did a manual OC across all cores with: Vcore to 1.4V Medium LLC And it only helped me reach 4.1GHz. 4.2Ghz was asking for more than ~1.45-1.5V XMP profile for ram set to Profile 1 (3600MHz) Cinebench score - 4121 (Highest so far in my tests) Nothing failed in prime95 test too F4g is the version that has a PBO Scalar setting It was removed from newer versions of BIOS for some reason My old temps (no oc) were definitely more than this before I undervolted. They were around ~90c and idled around ~70c Overvolting helped me a lot? but, PBO is not able to push above 3999 or 4000 on load It pushes 4.32GHz on idle on one of the cores for some reason Temps are definitely better And I beat my previous 4GHz manual OC score in cinebench too PBO Settings: PBO X10 PPT 1000 TDC 114 EDC 168 vCore Offset -0.1v MediumLLC (both) 3600MHz XMP Profile 1 on RAM Max Temp Reached 84.5C Idle Temps ~50-60c Cinebench Score - 3929 I've chosen the max values that Ryzen Master showed for (PPT, TDC, EDC) I've set all of the values through BIOS. The Undervolt looks pretty stable but I feel like I could do better and I'm missing a main point here. I used 3 softwares CPU-Z, HWiNFO and Open Hardware Monitor and the readings do differ in each of them. I've included all the pictures of after OC (load and idle) and cinebench scores And the pictures of the BIOS settings I was talking about Please take a look at them here: https://imgur.com/a/9UGtW0I I'm new to OC and messing with BIOS but I really like it! So can someone please help me understand why it isn't pushing above that 4GHz or 3.9Ghz on PBO? How can I improve the performance? And most importantly help me beat that manual OC 4.1GHz Cinebench score! Thank You!

I have a custom built system that keeps on failing when I go past the BIOS. I first started out with a MSI X570 A-Pro Motherboard which allowed me to boot into Bios, and even run a memtest86+ without a problem. As soon as I get past the BIOS and try to install an OS with will fail after a minute or so. I get the debug lights flashing between CPU and DRAM. These are the things I tried. Checked the pins on the CPU if they are bent I tried using different memory slots with just one memory module. Changed Power supplies Tried to install both Windows and Ubuntu I thought it was a bad motherboard so I replaced it with a B450 Aorus Pro WiFi (Rev 1.0 ) Build List: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 X 8GB) DDR4 32000 Mobo: B450 Aorus Pro Wifi (Rev 1.0) HDD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500 GB Graphics: ATI Radeon 256MB PCI-E 7120036200G Video Graphics Card Cedar (test) Case: Fractal Design Focus G PSU: Corsair RM850X **UPDATE I replaced it with a 3000G CPU and everything is working well. I just RMA'd the 2700X

Budget (including currency): To be decided Country: Hungary Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: AAA-s, VR-games, CAD programs, 3D modelling Hi everyone! Im thinkin about a GPU upgrade, when the new NVIDIA 3000 series will be released, but im not a 100% sure, that my CPU will be a good choice to go with it, what do you guys think? I wanna upgrade, because RDR2 is not running the way i would like, some vr games is also limited by my GPU, and i still can sell my 1080 with a decent price. Alright so I messed up and upgraded my graphics card the other day, and when I did I wanted a little bigger power supply than what i had. I originally had a 520w bronze (cant remember exact brand) and a EVGA GTX 1050ti OC. These was replaced by a 650w Gold EVGA (fully modular) and a 5600 XT. After i got the card i realized that for full potential i needed a 4.0 pcie slot so i had to up grade my board now, so I went from a b450 steel legend to MSI x570 Gaming Edge. After I got the board I realized it needs a extra 4pin that my power supply doesn't have. So my question is can i order a second 4+4 connector and plug it into the VGA 8 pin on the power supply and just use one of the two 4pins. If thats not a usable option could I use a adapter, and if so which style adapter, how reliable are they, and are there any good brands or places to get them?

Hi. So recently I started on my <800 cad all-Kijiji build but after a while of consideration I decided to go with new PSU and motherboards. I chose the MSI B450M PRO-VDH Plus to accompany a (planned) secondhand Ryzen 7 2700x and it should be here tomorrow. But then I looked at the threads and the majority of them are not very positive about this board, ranging from "not recommended" to "it's crap". So is this board really that bad, if so in what aspect and are they really critical to the systems performance? Also if I decide to return the board to amazon which other board similar in price should I get? (the MSI B450M PRO-VDH is 105 + tax on Amazon) Thank you for your time.

Hey guys, I'm planning to build a new pc with the following specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ AMD RX Vega 64 or Sapphiere Nitro+ AMD RX Vega 56 MOBO: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK AMD B450 So.AM4 Dual Channel DDR ATX Retail RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX black DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit CPU-Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock PRO 4 SSD: 500GB Crucial MX500 2.5" (6.4cm) SATA 6Gb/s 3D-NAND TLC (CT500MX500SSD1) Case: Cooler Master MasterCase H500 Mesh PSU: 750 Watt Corsair TX-M Series TX750M Modular 80+ Gold As you can see, I'm not sure yet, if I should choose the better CPU or the better GPU, I can't choose both! I have about 100 Euros left, so that's why I can only buy one higher end item. So far, I think I will buy the better CPU, since I saw a higher fps gain in games (on youtube) with the CPUs when compared with the GPUs. I mainly use my pc for gaming, but I also use programms like photoshop quite often, but I don't care if I could save 10 seconds for exporting an image with buying a more expensive CPU. When it comes to games, I play on 1080p so it may sound overkill but it isn't - any game which is moddable, for example Skyrim, Fallout 4 or GTA 5 - I mod them to the maximum - Hundreds of 4K Textures, scriptheavy mods, massive ENBs and so on (and from experience a standard 1080p gaming setup isn't enough for that. I'm also planning to buy a 144Hz Monitor in the future,so a bit more performance is crucial). So far, my plan is to wait for a month, for the release of Ryzen Gen 3, hoping that the R5 or R7 CPU (or mabye GPU) prices will drop, that I can save some money. Are there any speculations about how much the prices will drop, when they will, does anyone has some experience with this? Buying one of the new Gen 3 CPU will be too expensive at launch am I right? And what about the new GPUs, they use GDDR6 instead of HBM2, so they should be a bit cheaper then the Vega line (that's what I heard), but still more expensive because they are the newest and a bit better, right? I don't really know what do to right now, any help is appreciated! Also, will the airflow be okay? The case has 2x 200mm fans in the front and 1x 120mm at the rear and I will use the be quiet! Dark Rock PRO 4 tower cooler. Is it nessecary to buy more fans as an exhaust or is it enough?

I'm planning to build a kinda "budget" PC and I'm hesitating on the CPU between the AMD or Intel CPUs. Both are slightly the same priice ($10 diff) I'll use it for both gaming and some productivity (nothing heavy) Can anyone give a reason to pick one over another? Ryzen 7 2700x Or the Core I7-8700

Hey guys so I upgraded my PC from intel to a Ryzen 7 2700x and a MSI X370 gaming pro carbon motherboard. Also got a RTX 2070. And 3200Mhz 26GB trident Z RAM. I did a fresh install, ran DDU to run a clean wipe for the graphics drivers. Currently downloaded Geforce experience and Game Force Ready driver for the 2070. But when I run the driver install, The screen goes black during the installation. All the lights on the PC are still on but no display. I let the PC sit for like 15-20 min thinking that maybe it was part of the process. After that and seeing no results, I deserted the PC. It boots up, you see the Bios screen, then you see windows logo pop up but after that BLACK screen. I have to go into safe mode to uninstall the 2070 driver to get the display back in normal boot. I also tried setting down the speed of my Ram from 3200 to 3000 but nothing, also switched the GPU into a different PCI-E slot and still nothing. Please let me know if anyone else has had this issue and has a solution for this. Also tried the 2070 onto my brothers PC with a Asus strix board and a intel core i5-6600k and works great on his.

Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X with stock cooler Mobo: MSI B450I Gaming Plus AC RAM: 2 x 8 GB Ballistix Sport DDR4 3,000 MHz CL 16 GPU: XFX Rx 580 8gb PSU: Corsair CX450M 80+ Bronze Case: Masterbox Q300L Bought a secondhand Ryzen 7 2700x, box was unopened and everything intact. Could not get it to boot with a different mobo so I returned that mobo and purchased the current one. Still didn’t boot. Both times the fans would all turn at max speed and the white motherboard LED would come on for the CPU, indicating a failure to detect the CPU. Bought a new Ryzen 5 2600 and tried it on the board, got the same issue with a non detected CPU, was about to give up the. I tried switching out the ram. Switched from equivalent Corsair Vengeance of same spec to the current ram. It finally worked. So I the tried the 2700X with the new ram and it worked properly. Installed windows 10 and the most current driver for the RX 580. Restarted the computer and it bricked. The mobo’s CPU light comes on and the fans rev at max speed. Tried a different, third set of ram (Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz CL16) as well as all of the other pairs one stick at a time, and still nothing. Took out the motherboard, cleaned the thermal paste off the cpu and cooler, reapplied new thermal paste (Thermal Grizzly, not liquid metal), and hooked everything back up without reinstalling the motherboard into the case. The problem is still here, cpu light on and fans wail at max speed. Switched out the Rx 580 for my main rig’s 2060 and it still showed the same problems. Tried it without a gpu and the same problems were still present. The ram even works in my other pc so I really don’t understand what went wrong. It was working not too long ago when I installed windows 10 and that one driver for the Rx 580, but now it is back to the state it was in when I had defective ram. I’ve built 4 PCs and this is the first time I’ve ever had problems.

Good morning everyone, Newbie post. Hopefully quick one for ya. I built a new pc recently and I'm not sure if it's start up process is correct or something is a miss. Asus x470 pro, ryzen 7 2700x, Trident royal 3600 mhz 16g, stock cooler. The pc will start for a second, stop, wait a few seconds and then suddenly boot up just fine. This only happens when the power supply has been switched off. If power supply is left on, the pc will boot right away. I tried clicking ram back in, ram testing, swapped psu, tested to make sure all hook ups were seated correctly. The only thing I can think of would be bios needing an update or ram training? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
