Budget (including currency): *it we're going all out 8k rendering PC build does it look like we have a budget okay maybe nothing over $3000.00!!!(PC only).... Country: United States of America Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: SD card reader, disk games, console emulation, Windows 11/12, reading off our PSP,8K gaming with high poly and HD textures, true to real life video editing, ultra realistic graphical phidelity,AI,8K videos on YouTube for free for our viewers, not rendering PS1 graphics for a inde series, davinchi resolve pro AV1 video encoding,5 years plus of use, VLC media player, make sonic frontiers run out of vram, everything and anything you can do on a PC with ethics we will do if we can get our paws on it!!!!!!!! Other details (Ryzen 9 8950X3D currently has a 7950X3D as a placeholder because it's not out yet same generation of AM5 socket motherboard, RTX 5090 RTX 4090 crazy expensive as the current gen placeholder so basically top AMD prossesser and 90 class GPU is all we want.....,x670e motherboard,96GB DDR5, CD/DV/Blue Ray reader/wrighter, internal card reader,1300W PSU,eatx midtower PC case,2 TB SATA SSD with our current Windows 11 install and all our data, whether any peripherals are needed well we are storing our video assets on our NAS, what you're upgrading from RTX 4060,A320 motherboard,16GB DDR4 RAM, when you're going to buy 2024-early 2025 at the earliest, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at 8K 60Hz maximum settings possible!!!!!!!, etc): will 96 GB DDR5 RAM work on the AM5 socket motherboard?????? and also we don't need more than 16 cores so no Intel recommendations please!!!! Also we actually think that 8K resolution is a innovative hype train that can last us the next decade if we can take advantage of it and who wants to see pixels with their face in the screen not us, just let us know if 96gb of DDR5 RAM will work for this board we don't care if it is overkill it won't be in a few years just let us know if this works thanks again LTT Forums and happy holidays!!!!!!!

Budget (including currency): About 500-800$ for the PC itself Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Basic computer functions and streaming 1080p to Facebook. Other details Ok so my dad is asking for me to build a new pc for our family business. Pretty much, it needs to be able to stream 1080p webcam footage and, as my dad said exactly, "Have a crap ton of storage". He also would like it to be able to last for 10-15 years before needing to be replaced. Also, we plan on building a NAS for home use and would like to have enough storage on this pc to be able to copy some of the NAS files to it. The reason for this is because we may do some light video editing on it/ may need to have some business related files on it for our business. He doesn't really care about the size, looks, or anything like that, so I probably won't be putting any "Gaming" focused stuff in it, unlike my last build. TLDR: It needs a good enough GPU to handle 1080p streams and maybe light video editing/playing BTD when I get bored. Also it should have enough storage that he won't have to worry about deleting applications and such to make room. It also needs to be insanely reliable so I don't have to waste time fixing it every week or anything like that since I'm the family "Computer Guy". No look/size constraints. Basically, it's a regular ass computer that needs GPU heft to stream, storage to store random files before they're transferred to a NAS, and be reliable enough I shouldn't have to worry about constantly doing maintenance. Any suggestions/help with the part list is extremely appreciated. This isn't my first build so I know what to do when it comes to computers in general, just not good at making parts lists.

Enmotus isn't a commonly known company among gamers, but that might change with Fuzedrive, an SLC-infused SSD that claims to have "AI"... Buy Enmotus FuzeDrive 1.6TB SSD (PAID LINK): https://geni.us/DETLLGS

So, my old monitor broke so I'm shopping for a new monitor. I came across this Philips 242E1GSJ monitor. It has a high color accuracy than the Samsung and 1ms. I'm on a tight budget and I don't think i will be able to change another monitor soon. In general. The other alternative I'm considering is a Samsung LF24T350FHEXXM. I'm just worried that Philips monitor's are not reliable and will have a short lifespan. Any suggestions ? FYI im just rocking a gtx1050 so im not sure will i take full advantage of the 144gz monitor

IIRC in another post someone said that AIOs tend to last around 3 years (give or take). Also there's the chance of leaks. I saw the 4090 Suprim AIO version and got me thinking about this

Greetings. Ever since my Asus ROG phone's speaker died, I've been using the Xiaomi Poco M3 as a budget backup since August 2021. Fast forward to mid-2022, and it's been acting up. Rebooting the phone even proved to be a hassle where I'd get stuck in a endless boot screen. Now, my financial situation has vastly improved, and I can afford a better phone. Question is, what is a good phone to get? The most I'd pay for a phone is 650€. I am looking for a phone with a headphone jack, some good speakers to listen music on, a good amount of RAM so it won't choke with just twitter being open, it needs to have a good OS (Big requirement is that it is not an apple product, I refuse to use their proprietary crap), battery life is good, it is snappy, and maybe most importantly, it won't start dying after 1 year of use. I am extremely inexperienced when it comes to phones, all I want in life is a phone that'll be just as snappy one year later as when it's fresh out the box. As said, suggestions are very welcome, please give me your recommendations. Thank you kindly!

I live in the Netherlands, PC parts are way more expensive compared to the USA. I'm planning on using a service like MyUs.com, but how trustworthy are these services (and MyUs specifically?). *What is MyUs* It's basically a website that allows you to get a US address to buy anythig on US websites. After ordering products (PC parts in my case) MyUs saves them in a warehouse and sends them over to you all-in-one. (So you save a lot of money). I'm scared of spending money on all these PC parts to realise they took my stuff and never send it over to me. This might sound really really stupid, but my name is Turkish, so I don't know, they might hate me as a muslim and do bad stuff? I don't know. Never been to the USA, I have no idea how you people (most of you are from the US I bet) are. Has anyone ever uses MyUs or any similar service, is it trustworthy? Thanks for the help.

So my Samsung HDD died at 27k hours and my WDC just clocked in 20k hours when it started sounding kinda "springy". Instead of that snappy sound when the header moves it now sounds more like someone is playing with a small spring. Of course, I started looking for a new drive a few months ago when the WDC throwed a Reallocated Sectors Count. What I found by blackblazes data that they release from time to time is that the HGST Deskstar NAS HDN724040ALE640 64MB 4TB 3.5" (Yes that one in specific) lasted longest. However I'm not sure of its performance. Since I only have an 250 GB SSD, I use it for windows+startups and cache the HDD with 60GB, so performance is kinda just semi-ish important and I keep all my files backed up with Bittorrent Sync across two other devices. I even had my HDDs in raid 0 before the samsung one died. It's just the pain of finding a new HDD that I wish to relieve my future self from. I could live with 2TB. Ideas?

I was shopping for a new hard drive and I understand that hard drives are not something you should cheap out on. I was curious because I found a Toshiba hard drive that was a lot cheaper than seagate and western digital drives, plus it has the same length warranty as the other two.

Hi there I was wondering if some of you could help me. I have recently sold my gaming pc because I have realised I wasn't gaming as often as I used to. I'm now on my old laptop. I'd like to build a new desktop tho, I'm not really sure on parts yet. I'm searching for a cheap, very reliable and stable motherboard for the current intel cpu's (LGA1151). I'm not planning on overclocking and I probably am gonna buy a i5-6500. I'm planning on building a compact pc so a M-ITX motherboard is needed. I had a Gigabyte Motherboard before and wasn't really keen on its UEFI and stability. Ports I need: -many USB Ports, as my mouse, keyboard and external HDD already use 4 of them (3 USB2.0, 1 USB3.0) -HDMI graphics output as im relying on the iGPU (at least for now) -5.1 surround sound output either on 3.5mm jacks or optical Toslink jack Ports that would be nice: -USB3.1 Type C Port Prices up to around 100 US$ I've searched for a long time but couldnt really find a really good one. I was wondering if it would be worth it waiting for kaby lake processors which are said to be released in the beginning of 2017. I could wait as my laptop does work for the moment. The pc is being used for office applications(microsoft office), internet browsing (chrome) and maybe later light gaming with a later added GPU. Thank you very much for your help

I have a QX9650 and am looking for a cheap but capable cooler for it. Recommendations please! Also, is there a rating system for heat in cpus and coolers? Is there a spec for coolers (heat dissipation/time or something) that can be matched up to a spec for CPUs (heat generated/time) for optimal CPU and cooler matching? How do I know what "amount" of cooling I need for a particular CPU?

Trying to decide which GPU is safer to buy. The EVGA GTX 1070 Superclocked or the Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming. The EVGA GTX 1070 and 1080 cards had an overheating issue a while ago. I know it has been fixed but, I want to avoid buying an old card online that does not have the special strip installed.( I don't want to do it myself or send in for a replacement) Gigabyte 1070 seems to run cooler and is a little bit cheaper. According to GPUBOSS, the cards perform exactly the same. My question is which card do you guys think is the most reliable in performance, power consumption, and cooling features?

I'm looking for a highly reliable, long lasting & very fast 1TB backup HDD for my 1st PC I'm building in a couple months. I know that seems like very early shopping but I've been slowly buying parts already in order to take advantage of the best possible sales. So far my 2 immediate options are Seagate FireCuda & Western Digital Black, both have a 5 year warranty, are around the same price, but I hear WD is slightly more reliable while SG is a little faster being an SSHD. However another feature I've been unable to find is Shock Resistance, I've seen External Portable HDD's that have this feature but not an internal one. I have a MasterCase Pro 3 & I suspect that a shock resistant external HDD could be mounted to the HDD Cage Base Plate that's also intended for a reservoir but am unsure. I'd greatly appreciate any & all suggestions regarding the two above options plus any other choices I might of missed.

Hi, Just curious about what pen drive brands can I trust and buy? As far as I know, the Sandisk and Kingston brands are good on pen drives. How about Lexar, Verbatim and Apacer? How reliable are they? Thanks.

(This is my first post on this forum.) What's currently a good choice for an accurate and long-lasting mouse these days? I was using a $1 mouse from a thrift store which worked great for a long time until the left mouse button started sending extra clicks. Right now I'm using a Logitech M510 that I got from a Staples because they didn't have anything wired. It got me through Borderlands 2, but the sensor accuracy is getting more problematic over time with stuttering and inaccuracy. It's also a bit heavy for me. I'd like to be accurate enough to play Team Fortress 2 or other FPS games without issue, but I don't necessarily play competitive CS:GO or anything. I'd like to get a good-quality long-lasting wired mouse so it's not heavy, doesn't require charging, and doesn't have interference. If there's something wireless that won't cause me too much trouble though, then neato. A couple easy-to-use side buttons are neato (although the ones on the M510 are kind of mushy). I don't need a mountain of them though, and none is fine too. Something maybe $10-$30 USD? I'd really appreciate a few suggestions on what might be a good fit. I was looking at a few options on Newegg (like https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16826193123 ) and Amazon (like https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Polling-Programmable-Ergonomic-Computer/dp/B07HFX399R/ ), but I don't know what's best without being able to try it in person or having someone who knows more about choosing a good mouse. Thank you.

Hi guys So I found some great deals on videocards on Amazon.de (which I use because I live in the Netherlands) Would you trust any of these? A new GTX 1080 for 220 or a new 1080Ti for 330? I have only once ordered something off Amazon and it was fine, but I've also heard some bad stories. Here are the links: https://www.amazon.de/GeForce-Grafikkarte-NVIDIA-Base-Takt-Boost-Takt/dp/B06XXVVQYH/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 https://www.amazon.de/Zotac-GeForce-Grafikkarte-Base-Takt-Boost-Takt/dp/B01NCVICRY/ref=sr_1_11?__mk_nl_NL=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&keywords=1080ti&qid=1563905289&s=computers&sr=1-11 There are 3 companies selling these for such low prices, but I can't really find anything about one of them (uplink I think) and the others seem pretty good, though a few reviews say they were really bad. I really don't know. Do you guys think these are trustworthy? If you've seen my previous posts, I wanted to buy a gpu secondhand, but all 4 of my leads decided to either ignore my texts eventhough we had agreed on a price or they were already sold. One of them even told me to come get it, which I did, and then he decided to ignore me.

I’m getting a new gaming laptop, and I’m wondering what you all think is a reliable brand or system? I’m constantly on the go and can sit down at my desktop. I had a Razer Blade Pro 2017 model and it has broken 3 times in two years. I know the 2019 laptops are new, but maybe you all have some insight based on experience. Thanks guys!

Hello, At the moment im trying to get rid of my dell inspiron 3780, it is an incredibly unreliable laptop that has failed me countless times. Under warranty I have had it replaced along with the motherboard being replaced several times, today I had a technician come and try to replace the mother board only to have the ribbon cable (for the keyboard I belive) not fit into the slot. now im left with a pc that doesntwork in the middle of all my classes. ive decided that I have had enough and am requesting a refund. I was wondering if anyone knew a great, reliable laptop with a good graphics card for the adobe suite that I could look at in the meantime. my budget is a bit more that 1400 aud (939 usd) but can go up in price if necessary to get wat I need. I appreciate everyone who lends a helping hand ?
