So, it has been about a full week since I have been trying to setup hardware encryption on a Samsung 990 Pro 1To as well as a Samsung 980 Pro 2To, both slotted in an ASUS ProArt Studiobook (H7600ZX). Please bear with me as I am aware of my very limited knowledge in this specific field of computer science... I have tried so many things that I pretty much lost count at this point, even while taking notes on the side: Some notes to lay down some known facts: My BIOS/UEFI is up to date My SSDs firmware is up to date My Windows 11 iso is the latest available I do not seem to have any "BlockSID" related options in the bios Whenever I used the PowerShell commands to disable BlockSID and rebooted I was never greeted by a screen acknowledging the commands unlike I've seen in various forum posts I did a "secure erase" of my drives too many times for me to even count by now (on Samsung Magician my OS drive health stats show a 2To written on what was a brand new drive last week and only had Windows installed multiple times and to then be erased again and again...) Whenever I tried to force BitLocker to use Hardware encryption by disabling Software Encryption fallback through either registry edits or group policies, it always gave me an error as it wasn't able to encrypt the drives Samsung Magician's "Encrypted Drive" is and has been stuck at "Ready to enable" no matter what I tried/did I tried several things that may have no correlation and didn't seem to change anything: Resetting TPM keys, my reasoning being that maybe something saved in it that kept the drive in "Ready to encrypt" even after a "secure erase" (might have been useless so I restored them) Trying to use the PowerShell commands to act on the "BlockSID" was a nightmare since as it allegedly resets after each reboot, how am I supposed to install Windows with it still disabled...? Any and every idea/advice/knowledge on the matter is deeply appreciated! N.B.: It's past 5am here and my brain is fried so I will complete and update the post after some rest... I recently switched from a 9900k to a 7800x3D. I haven't had a red chip since the Athlon X2 6400+. The install went smoothly but then I got wrapped up in the Asus BIOS drama and have changed my BIOS more in the past month than in my entire lifetime. I'm still wondering whether my CPU had seen any damage after running DOCP for a week before the news broke. I've been crashing in RB6 and I never have prior to this swap. I've also experienced a few BSOD's, including one where I was just sitting at the desktop. Parts are listed below. Asus B650 PROART-CREATOR mobo. 32GB of Gskill RAM running at the advertised speed. 6000mhz. The newest Beta BIOS(1410) shows these points. 1. Update AGESA version to Combo AM5 PI 1.0.0.7. 2. Support 48/24GB high-density DDR5 memory module. 3. SoC voltage for Ryzen 7000 series limited to a maximum of 1.30V to protect the CPU and motherboard. The last sentence has already been applied in the current version(1303) I am using. I switched to Asus because I missed their BIOS layout but got instantly burned with their shit handling of this issue. Can I switch to the Beta BIOS? Will it be safe or not? Should I wait? I just want some stability and go back to gaming without needing to worry about a crash.

hey guys, so last week theres a big thunderstorm and my monitor ( PA278QV ) died from thunderstrike, ive already contacted asus and they said it didn't get covered by the warranty. now i got emailed that the fixing cost for my monitor is basically the same price as the monitor itself, ( cost for the fixing is 6.400.000 IDR / 440 USD, while the monitor price was 6.600.000 IDR / 451 USD ) i'm devastated since i really need that monitor. is there anyway that i can fix it myself ? or do i just eat the price and buy a new one same model / pay for the fixing price ?

Hi everyone, Hope you'll are staying safe out there. So I work as a graphic designer for a publication house and I'm trying to buy a new monitor for my office work. After doing some research, I came across Asus ProArt PA27AC which seem to be in the sweet spot on features and price. I just want to know if you'll have any experience working with this monitor. Especially color correction work as this monitor will mainly be used for that purpose. Also one big reason that I chose this because it is said to be supporting Adobe RGB (at least in some websites). I'm a bit confused on that and does it really a big deal when it comes to printing or a 100% sRGB monitor should be enough. I appreciate any feedback from you guys and if you are going to make any other suggestions please make them for the following brands as I do not live in US or Europe and the availability is very limited in my country. Good morning y'all My better half just finished her masters degree in video editing and i wanted to gift her this christmas a good monitor for her to start editing at home. Her setup does the trick, the monitor is the only flaw atm. I was browsing and came across the ASUS PA279QV 27" which seems a great Monitor for the price. Asus ProArt StudioBook One... https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ProArt-StudioBook-One-W590G6T/ Its Been Almost 2 months Since Its Announcement, But Still No Other Company Has Brought Anything To Rival It... Even Asus Has Not Released It In The Market (International, Not Regional)... So... Will We Be Seeing Something Like This In The Near Future Or Its Just One Of The Asus Concept Laptop Which Can Only Be Seen In Videos & Advertisements & Not In Real Life??

I need some help troubleshooting this weird situation. My machine is: ProArt X670E-CREATOR WIFI Ryzen 9 7950X 64gb Ram (2x 32gb of Crucial CT2K32G52C42U5) Geforce 4080 Noctua NH-D15 3x M.2 drives After I finished the build, I flashed the BIOS to the newest version and did not turn on any AI overclocking stuff, I kept everything standard and installed Windows 10 Pro. Installed all drivers (chipset, Nvidia etc) The issue is Windows 10 is super sluggish and the Ryzen 9 7950X runs at a clock speed of 2.5Ghz. Temps on full load are around 45c and idles around 31c. Running a Cinebench R23 test, Task manager CPU utilization is not going over 60%. I tried enabling AI OC in Bios and it’s the same exact results. Windows is super sluggish. So I called ASUS and after some questioning, they told me the motherboard was perfect and to call AMD. I called AMD, and after their questioning they told me to “ask a friend who has the same CPU to borrow and test in my machine..” I don’t have a friend with the same CPU so I ordered another one on Amazon and for good measure and further testing, I ordered 2 sticks of QVL approved Crucial ram. The ram I use in the machine are not QVL approved (Crucial website says they are 100% compatible with the ProArt X670E-CREATOR WIFI, whatever that means. So here’s the strange thing.. the new CPU and RAM are coming tomorrow am, so I decided to install Windows 11 just for kicks.. and the CPU is running full speed.. What the hell is happening? Windows 10 Cinebench multicore I was getting 2850 points, and in Windows 11 I get 21335 (I'm in third position)- the temps go to 90c on full load. Single core I get 2022 points and in 1st position. One thing though is that when Cinebench is running the test, the CPU oscillates, meaning it’s going to 100% then down a little, then to 100% etc.. I can also hear the fans kicking in the same oscillation pattern, is this normal ?or should it be full on to 100% all the time during the test? My score is not so bad I’m in 3rd position. I have to do more testing. ..But the thing is I need to use Windows 10 Pro and it's f$%# in there! It's my first build in 13 years so I'm a newb again and I need some help! What do you guys think is going on?

This is a 34" Ultrawide 100Hz IPS panel. Released Jan 2019. It's been a contender for a potential monitor for content creation/gaming. However, the internet lacks any reviews, videos, anything of this panel. Google brings up reviews for a different monitor. What are anyone's thoughts??

Hi, Has anyone tried to Overclock an Asus PA238q ProArt monitor or aware of the same? 1. What’s the monitor’s Refresh Rate OC potential? Can I get to 1920x1080p @ 75Hz without breaking it? 2. Can Asus ProArt series monitors be run 24x7 @ OC relatively safely (without frying the panel I mean)? 3. And if I do get to OC my monitor, which would be the preferable connection/cable type to use? Dual-Link DVI-D /DVI-I or DisplyPort 1.2 or HDMI 1.4a!. All opinions / suggestions are appreciated. Thanks for reading & helping.

I am looking into buy a monitor for editing work and gaming. I would like for the monitor to have good color callibration and at least a 60hz refresh rate? I thought the Asus ProArt ips monitor looks like a very good monitor for color quality: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/23-asus-pa238q-professional-proart-led-ips-monitor-1920x1080-6ms-250cd-m-500000001-black But are the colors on other monitors really that bad? And also very importantly is a 6ms a bad response time especially for gaming? Right now I occasionally play tf2 on a TV (using a pc) and i'm not sure what it's response time is but I would probably prefer it if it was a little bit faster. Thanks, Blueprint
