Spec: CPU: R5 5600x GPU: RTX 3070 Ram: 32GB (8x4) PSU: 950W 2x1080p monitor (240hz and 144hz, 24inch), 1 x 4k monitor (160Hz, 27inch) all using DP port I have an issue with video playback online, including youtube and other streaming platforms, whenever I watch content at 1080p60fps on fullscreen on my 4k monitor, the fps drops so hard to like 30-40fps (based on observation), but when I switch the video to 4k, the video would play completely normal, If I play the 1080p60fps video on Theatre mode, the video plays completely fine as well. I have also tried playing the same 1080p60fps video on my other two 1080p monitors at fullscreen, the video also plays completely normal. So the issue is I cannot view any 1080p60fps video on my 4k monitor at fullscreen. I have tried both chrome and microsoft edge, the problem occurs in both browsers. I have turned off hardware acceleration on Chrome, task manager shows that CPU, RAM, and GPU are running at only around 30% usage. Would like any sort of help please!!

I am looking to purchase a GPU for use in an HTPC VM attached directly to my 4k TV. I currently have a GT 1030 but it will only run at 4k30 over HDMI 2.0. My requirements: DP 1.4 output (will be converted to HDMI 2.1) Modern decoding support (VP9 for sure, AV1 would be nice but is likely expensive) I don't care about encoding Has Linux drivers Doesn't suffer from the reset bug as this will be used with KVM Should I just buy another GT 1030 that has DP 1.4? I think that would check all but the AV1 box.

I'm curious if you can play normal VHS tapes in a D-VHS player. I'm getting artifacting on my setup and want to know if this specifically would be the problem.

Me, and my gf have noticed that, after I swaped Headsets from a Razer (blackshark) to a Logitech, I started talking louder now and then. This came down to a future that was present in the Razer Hardware that allowed playback into the headset. Windows does have this future in the software but its playback is...bad. delays, no noise cancelling and its loud. What i whould like is a software or simular that whould allow me to tweek a playback into the headset so it's barely noticeable like the Blackshark headset I used to use. I do belive I wouldn't be so loud while gaming if i hear myself more. Any idees on how to do this? is it possible? appreciate any help.

Hi all, I've started a lossless library of all the music I own, and organized it in a basic folder structure in Windows (Artist>Album>Song Files). But I can't find a single program that will play them sequentially, even though each song has the "#" section filled out in the file metadata. Tried windows media player, VLC, Foobar2000, all of them either do nothing or restart the same track when I press next track. What do I gotta do to get it to play an album through without having to click each song? What am I missing? Any help much appreciated.

Hello all, first time posting on the forum so forgive me if it's in the wrong location. I'm trying to set my Intel nuc (i3 4010u 12gb ram) up on the TV (lg B9 oled) for my parents to watch game of thrones when I'm not on the playstation, but I'm getting stuttering playback with artifacts and it's unwatchable I've looked online and tried a few basic fixes including buying a new displayport to hdmi 2.1 cable. But it's still unwatchable I'm wondering if the pc just isn't capable of 4k video playback I've attached some photos of the problem as well as the pc specs. Its not a big deal if I can't get it to work, I just thought I'd let them enjoy my Oled when I'm not using it.

hi with the blue yeti microphone, can i hear my own voice through my headset without any delays? my headset blocks out noise so i end up talking very loudly, so i would like to be able to hear my own voice without any delays like how the native windows "listen to this device" option has noticeable latency. thanks!

Hey guys, my problem is stated as following: When watching a video, it doesn't matter where, in the Video app, in Chrome, in Edge, Youtube or Twitch. Everywhere the video playback gets asynchronous over time.( At the beginning: None, at 2 minutes: ~0.5sec, after 15 minutes:~3sec )The video always lacks behind the sound. Only in VLC I haven't experienced Videos getting asynchronous. I already reset everything to factory default in the Bios and tested various screen resolutions but without success. Does anyone know from where to tackle this problem? Windows 10 Pro 64Bit Asus x99A (BIOS version 3505, latest) Intel i7 6800k(overclocked to 4.1GHz but issue still present at stock speeds) 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM (1600MHz XMP profile 1) Zotac GTX 1080 Amp Edition! I have a strange issue. Thought it was an issue that was global and would eventually be fixed. But it is still there and has been there since the start of floatplane for me. Whenever I press play, regardless of video quality 360p or 1080p. It plays flawlessly instantly. No buffering or issues there. Then after about 10 seconds into the video. It will completely freeze on frame but the sound will continue to play. It will stay frozen with the audio still playing and then unfreeze after about another 10 seconds. It's nothing serious enough to make the video unwatchable. But seriously a video playback issue. Anymore information you would like that I have not mentioned I can supply. I can even record a sample of what happens and upload it if you wish to see what happens. It happens 100% of the time on any new video I view. Once the freeze has happened on the video it wont happen again on the same video.

Hello, When I talk in my microphone, the microphone sounds find. The problem I have is that if I talk very loud into my mic, I can hear a faint playback of my voice. This goes away if I turn off the microphone in the windows sound panel (or deactivate it with a button on the headset). I have made sure the boxes for "listen to device" are unticked. Any solutions? I am using a logitech g533

Hi, I plan to have a 4k projector connected to my PS4 (not a Pro) and I want to have an external HDD (connected to PS4) with movies (preferably in 4K) and I dont know if its going to work. Do you have any experience with this? Thank you.

Hi! I have SSD and HDD on my laptop. And lately when I'm watching movies or listening to songs that are stored on HDD they freeze at certain moments(on multiple players), like if I reopen those files and put on the exact same time they'll freeze again. When I move the same media to my SSD then it works good. Has anyone a clue how to fix that and is this software or hardware issue? I did a HDD chekup and it didn't find any errors and now I'm defragmenting it even though win 10 should do it on its own. -
as the title said chrome drops about 10% of frames on youtube, I don't have this problem on mozila firefox not even a single frame tried enabling and disablin g hardware acceleration but there is no difference whatsoever.

I'm very confused. My in-game audio, for example, games or Spotify is being interpreted by my computer as my mic and is being played for everyone in my lobby clearly. I use the hyperx Cloud Pros. I am having trouble playing some youtube videos when I am using a chrome browser. Sometimes, when I click a youtube video, the whole chrome browser will turn black and the audio will keep playing. I can still interact with the page, and go back, but the screen is black. I opened up the same videos on edge and they worked. Does anyone know what would be causing this? Again, it is the whole browser window that turns back, not just the video. PC Specs: R5 3600 Radeon 5700 Windows 10

Hello everyone i am having trouble with playing 4k contain form my laptop to 4k(4096 x 2160) tv i have Msi Cx627QL it's config is i7-7500u 940mx gpu i am playing on mpc Klite codec pack the file is opening 5 sec. in video everything is good after 5 sec. it's starting to stutter and CPU usages goes 100% and Gpu load is not even 30%

I am interested in editing 4K footage from a DJI Phantom 4 with perfectly smooth playback without the need of converting to Proxy files. I have a descent computer with a EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN Z 12GB GDDR5 768 Bit GPU Graphics Card, 80g RAM, running on Win 64bit, and Premiere still struggles playing back the original drone footage. Every other type of 4K footage from my DSLR cameras works fine. Some people have suggested it is the compression that the original Phantom 4 files generate. I would like to know if anybody has had experience with a video card that is able to play it back DJI 4K footage in Premiere smoothly without the need of creating proxies. Thanks.

Hi guys i have problem with my sound on COMPUTER (not laptop okay) Well first my mainboard was P5G41T M-LX3 Last month im updated to newer bios available from Asus everything work fine and smoothly But today my sound disappear Let me explain what wrong is 1.on realtek app on tray only showing digital sound spdif (NOT Speaker analog) 2.im try from control panel and open SOUND and got list of my playback devices,but what wrong is "speaker realtek high definition not plugged in" and cannot set to default even after im put jack on back panel onboard sound(the green one) no sound no nothing 3.i try clean install windows and updated the driver but still the same 4.last thing i try to boot live cd linux (mint and ubuntu) it still the same,what weird is only detect digital sound not realtek speaker analog device Well the problem in my cases is,why only digital sound output alive while analog output dead(not useable) I try too look at bios it only show front panel plugin which is not related with my backpanel analog realtek audio right ? i try to upgrade and downgrade bios this afternoon and still the problem occured So help me analyze and fix this please

The mic port on my Astro Mixamp bit the dust so I am looking at my options to revamp the audio setup. The mixamp simultaneously played audio from both my PC and game consoles. Would a cheap mixer be a good solution for this? Would I need a separate mic for the Xbox if I got a mixer? Eventually I want to learn electric guitar, so would the mixer also be all I need for that?

Hello everybody!I've bought a 4K monitor and so I decided to download 4k high bitrate movies but they are impossible to play without stutters!!! I have a laptop with i7 6700hq, gtx 960m and 16gb of Ram, I'm using mpc-hc with madvr. My laptop can edit 4k videos, I can play the latest games at 1080p medium but I can't play 4k high bitrate movies. The Lg oled c7 of my friend can play 4k movies on a usb drive but my pc can't.Please help me!!! The only movie I could watch without any problem was blade runner 2049 (hdr, atmos,67 Gb)

I searched to see if people were having similar issues and found nothing really but my main issue being that i get artefacting only on video playback, but not on any other thing so it's not like it's a broad artefacting issue, and before you ask i have tried updating my graphics driver (Intel HD 620 eugh) but when i did and tried playing games, it told me my card was out of date so i was like "WTF" because the update it took me to was apparently ~1,5 years ago and so i reverted and when i tried to manually install it, the installer for the driver said "your manufacturer has altered this card in some way and we would not recommend switching to this" and blah,blah,blah every other driver i have on this system is up to date though so i'm just wondering what the issue could be, and figured this would be the best place to come look; sincerely someone who is completely bothered by a video randomly artefacting during playback (also if i rewind and replay that portion that got artefacted it's no longer artefacted....idk man i'm thinking it's game over man- game over)

Hi, So I've had this issue that has been driving me absolutely insane for the last 48 hours. Praying that someone, anyone can help me before I just give in to the forces that be.... So I have a rather old computer, namely a Dell Optiplex 330 (micro tower version). I wanted to try and upgrade it a bit more before a committing to a completely new build. After someone on here recommended the evga gt 1030 graphics card, I went ahead and purchased it. Once it arrived I installed it and everything seemed perfectly fine, display come through the hdmi without any issues. So I went ahead and installed the official driver from Nvidia and this is where all hell broke loose. The first thing I noticed was sound playback became very very very choppy, it was not watchable in the slightest. However, if I flicked over to a new tab and left the video playing, the sound was fine. The second thing I noticed was with certain "resource hungry" software such as Adobe Illustrator. If I enabled GPU enhancing, the software became very laggy, my mouse would move at such a low rate it made it impossible to design. The same for rendering animations!! After a bit of research, I thought that maybe it could be a power consumption issue? I mean the gpu alone recommended 300W, i had the stock psu that come with the tower that was 300W. Logic assumed that the GPU was hogging the power thus reducing performance for everything else. So yesterday I had a new corsair 650W psu turn up, ripped out the old one and installed this. Still the problem was there! So all day today I have been searching for some kinda resolution... After reading on the Nvidia forums, it seems that choppy FPS and video playback is a common theme for this range of gpus. People suggested disabling the on board graphics via bios, so I tried that and that seems to have improved the playback quite a bit but it's still there and the laggy software is still just as bad. Others said reverting back to a older driver worked for them, I tried that and again issue still persisted. I tried uninstalling the driver and reverting back to the stock driver Microsoft provides and all of the issues disappeared, however, so did the gpu enhancing capabilities. All of this makes me believe it is some kind of driver issue or I'm missing something staring me right in the face. I've posted over in the Nvidia forums in the hope that someone from Nvidia could help but no response so far. Does anyone have any suggestions before I return the card and cry myself to sleep? I've attached an image of speccy just to show the specs in case someone wants them, if you need any more info just ask.

Hi, I've been experiencing a weird glitch whilst watching movies via the Android TV Plex app. For about 1sec during Plex playback I get a flash of Red, Green and blue pixels (RGB lol) each time I watch a movie. I've checked my source files an they playback perfect and they are not corrupted. Any help on this issue would be great. Cheers
