PewDiePie, is OUTED BY Youtube & Disny for IntI-Semitic Stunt
JamieOlive posted a topic in Tech News
PewDiePie put a couple Indian freelancers, to raise a sign who said "Death to all Jews". According to ArsTechnica, both Disney and Youtube's Paid service Youtube Red cancelled their nhext seasons of PewDiePie shows. According to the site this will greatly affect the Youtuber, who will see a somewhat significant sum of advertizing money out of his pockets, althought Google recommented program will still give him a "quite reasonable allowance" After all the fuss, PewDiePie, said that his actions were affensive but when he hired the freelancer "for 5$ from fivver", he didn't think that they would do such an offensive act, and while the original video was deleted, although we don't know who deleted it Youtube or PewDiePie himself, the guy will not go anywhere, he has 53 million subscribers, and while I personally hate him, many people seem to enjoy what he does, but this wasn't the first time he did offensive stunts, and will certainly not be his last!! What a fu*king... Technically not an absolute tech topic , But needs to add a follow up anyways from the original controversial event thread that was posted on Tech news. Popular YouTube gamer Pewdiepie , One of the most subscribed channel on YouTube platform officially posted an apology video for a controversial statement he made off in a previous live stream , where he spilled out a racial slur out loud out of frustration while playing a game, He released a very short video for his controversial comment he spilled out during a live stream game-play & Apologized for the comments he made , plus some other stuffs very briefly . Original : Entire length Transcript (for those who don't wanna hand in a view for the channel or whatever reasons don't want to watch the video or whatever) " Hello, wanted to make statement on what i said in my previous live stream, you probably wont believe me when i say this , but whenever i go online & i hear other players use the same kinda language that i did , i always find it extremely immature & stupid & i hate how i personally fed into that part of gaming as well , it was something that i said in the heat of the moment , i said the worst word i could possibly think of & it just sort of slipped out & i'm not gonna make any excuses to why it did because there are no excuses for it, i'm disappointed in myself , because it seems that i've learned nothing from all these past controversies & its not like i can think or say or do whatever i want & get away with it , that's not it at all , i'm just an idiot , But that doesn't make what i said or how i said it okay , it was not okay , i'm really sorry if i offended or hurt or disappointed anyone , with all of this, Being in the position that i am i should know better , i know can't keep messing up like this & i owe it to my audience & to myself to do better than this , Because i know i'm better than this , i really want to improve myself & better myself , not just for me , But for anyone that Looks up to me or anyone's that influenced by me & that's how i want to move forward away from this , Thats all i had to say , Thank You for watching , Bye! " *video ends* Say What ? For those who missed out on what happened >> Anyways , It was a good move from him , but half way through it it seems like he was reading out a statement written out by his lawyer (Probably/Maybe is sitting by his side behind the camera observing) , But controversy aside , Problems like these has a skewed side to it , it's a grey area , holding one side severely accountable & the other side not at all to a same statement is very damaging to a community both online & outside of that , a sort of pseudo outrage with no pure intention other than some sidelining reasons to make it an issue , Either ways from a platform he's in & the age group of audience he addresses to i think it's a very good move from his part, But apart from that something like this so easily being spilled out might seem a bit too dark . But Anyways, in reality i think pretty much only specific certain individuals or certain groups seem to take stuff like this as offensive & seriously demeaning except some that would find it very offensive to them personally. But it's a good thing to see how things play out when things like this happen & there is actual discussions happening over it as people ask themselves & each other properly rather than follow blinding trends & go on like lynch mob & do far worse things to justify it . What do you think ? Until Next Time Bros , I mean.. uhh.. Please discuss the subject if you must reasonably & keep trolling to a minimum , Post comments replies , whatever on subject , Source: YouTube link/Trending/Main Channel

In some minor tech news ( as its kinda relates to youtube/twitch LINK = PCgamer.com link Pewdiepie used a racial slur while livestreaming PUBG, as a direct reaction to this Sean Vanaman, Co-founder of Campo Santo creators of the game "firewatch" (good game btw) posted on twitter that he would be filing DMCA take downs on pewd's videos of their games. Do you agree? Are creators now able to retroactively remove content of other channels and risk legal action, because they don't like something the host said (has happened with sponsorship's I know). Would like to hear your guys/girls thoughts on this... I hate pewd's personally but I dont like that kind of content, but I think a DMCA is abit of a streach removing permision AFTER the fact ( reminds me of that rape thing that happened awhile ago, wheres some extreme feminists were wanting to take back consent after the fact) (To save you clicking) QUOTED FROM PCGAMER YouTuber PewDiePie – who lost lucrative partnerships with Disney and YouTube earlier this year due to an anti-Semitic video – has used a racial slur during a new livestream. The wealthy (and regrettably influential) personality uttered the slur during a livestream of PUBG, and while it has attracted condemnation online, Campo Santo co-founder Sean Vanaman has indicated he will take further action. "We're filing a DMCA takedown of PewDiePie's Firewatch content and any future Campo Santo games," Vanaman wrote on Twitter. "There is a bit of leeway you have to have with the internet when [you] wake up every day and make video games. There's also a breaking point." He continued: "I am sick of this child getting more and more chances to make money off of what we make. He's worse than a closeted racist: he's a propagator of despicable garbage that does real damage to the culture around this industry." Vanaman made a call out to other developers to take direct action against the likes of PewDiePie. "I'd urge other developers & will be reaching out to folks much larger than us to cut him off from the content that has made him a millionaire. Furthermore, we're complicit: I'm sure we've made money off of the 5.7M views that video has and that's something for us to think about." At the time of writing, PewDiePie's lengthy Firewatch playthrough has been removed from YouTube, though Kotaku reports it had been viewed 5.7 million times already. Here is the clip, thanks to @TorqueS Warning some users may find this offensive ( and if you do...yeah.....) https://oddshot.tv/s/g_05U6 Video of copywrite attorney Leonard French giving his thoughts on the matter ( thanks to @Energycore for directing me to it ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhn6yrNzM3M Sean Vanaman's twitter reads as follows

I like it when my favorite youtubers have a crossover event, it reminds me of the 90s Spider-Man cartoon when other marvel characters would make guest appearances. linus meme at 11:45

Yesterday Youtube refunded 26k $ from charity superchats for children cancer research hospital of St. Jude, because of nature of the Youtube channel that livestream went on. The owner and host Ethan Ralph (@TheRalphRetort) who fancies the idea of absolute free speech is hosting streams named "KIllstream" that are giving platform for anyone to talk about anything, that many people may find upsetting. A month ago Ralph was hosting a special event named "Healstream" to donate money to the children's research hospital of St. Jude in which they raised 26k $. Also as an addition, Ralph got his both youtube channels terminated on the spot by Youtube. Within 24 hours Youtube started refunding people, on 2nd of November, a new article made by The Wall Street Journal, describing the "Hate Speech on Live ‘Super Chats’ Tests YouTube" made by Yoree Koh (@yoreekoh) references the very same stream, what Ralph and many others from his fans see as a hit piece, the same way as they did with "PewDiePie is a nazi". On Twitter it's referred to the affair via hash tag #WSJKillsKids where they post memes about WSJ. The hospital haven't made a public statement as of yet, whether they decided to refuse money, or the refunding started on the discretion of YouTube. Thanks to Twitter user Nick Monroe, who get information at one place. https://twitter.com/nickmon1112 https://www.wsj.com/articles/hate-speech-on-live-super-chats-tests-youtube-1541205849?mod=e2tw

Latest update number: Looks like paying out those click farms have finally.. payed off. Pewdiepie aka Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, again has become the most subscribed channel on Youtube, previously holding the record of 66 million Youtube subscribers . Pewds channel amidst the chaos of being overtaken by a competitive alternate channel from India called T-series which runs it's channel on Music videos & interviews of Bollywood movies & celebrities is currently sitting at 65 million is the second ranking most subscribed channel in the world on Youtube, Pewdiepie have surpassed 67 Million subscribers on YouTube first channel to do so . Pewdiepie started his channel on youtube in the year 2010 on April 29th , He has currently uploaded a total of around 3600 videos in the channel , Currently stands around 7th place in video view rank as it usually accumulates around 3-7 mill in average maxing out at around 10 or 11 in view count per video as of late out of all those 66+ million subscribers he has , His monthly earning is estimated between 33k+ or upto 630k in ad revenue which translated upto 7 mill in yearly earnings approximately at max. but it's a projected estimate according to social blade & is probably not accurate, this excluding the fact that he does merchandises on his own like Chair (only $399), t-shirts & hats & recently his own game release of ASS yes ASS, All ads up to the revenue. plus social blade doesnt take into account on demonetized videos if i'm right. so it's good to call it an estimate. as of late he has racked up around a whopping 18,902,156,357 ( eighteen billion nine hundred two million one hundred fifty-six thousand three hundred fifty-seven) views on his channels contents alltogether Compared to T-series which employs a whole boat loads of people for content creation & promotion & others, Pewds have no ties with any network currently & works alone to create content with two of his editors editing the videos out for him, Not mention the series of demonetization he had to endure doing "meme reviews" An official Live Count channel dedicated to Pewds v T-series subscriber count in real time. T-Series Official channel >> https://www.youtube.com/user/tseries Looking at the ratio of subscription & the audience it caters to , T-series will inevitably catch up to this record sooner or later. it's almost sure that T-series will catch up to 66 mill in about a week or so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Dh-RL__uN4 Anyways Is this tech news? i don't know , it marks a Youtube Historical record break in a global scale, so it kinda is. So what do you think about this? Leave a comment or your personal thoughts down below. News review *claps twice*

Hey Guys so I was browsing on Pewdiepie's Social Blade Page and he seems to have lost about 293M views on the 5th of August and another 74M views 3 days after that. Any idea on why this may have happened? I think it's probably similar to the reason that Linus was discussing on a recent episode of the WAN show about creators deleting their videos to protect their channels from strikedowns especially after what happened to Jenna Marbles and Shane Dawson. So I'm gonna assume that because you clicked on this you already know vaguely what G2A is. If you don't, google it and you can read about it. Anyways, I've bought probably 5 or 6 games off of G2A and all of them have worked great, the keys worked, and i haven't had the games taken off my Steam account (There has been some rumors/reports of Steam deactivating the game, banning the account, etc.). You may have seen big youtube channels like PewDiePie or JackFrags promote G2A and both seem credible. The site does do big donations to charity and considering they sell games at Steam-sale price ALL YEAR ROUND it seems to good to be true, but as a surprise to most, it is seemingly legit. As I said, I have bought multiple games off them and, without a hitch, my games are playable right now in my Steam library. I will probably continue to use G2A regardless, but I want to know what others think about it.

Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg ( i bet you didn't knew his full name ) YouTube sensation & star of World most subscribed YouTube channel (31 million), may leave web media company Maker Studio and parent company Disney to start his own network. PewDiePie signed on with YouTube network Maker Studio, which also distributes TotalBiscuit and Yogcast, The Marker studio was acquired by Disney for a reported 500 million $ , with additional performance-based payouts of $450 million.making the total buyout at 900 million dollars.. After a legal dispute with the multi-channel network (MCN) Machinima, is now part of Maker Studios Pewdiepie recently stated that he may leave web media company Maker Studio and parent company Disney to start his own network. With over 31 million YouTube subscribers ,PewdiePie is one of the most important personalities at Maker Studios , PewDiePie brings in about 4 million in ad revenue on which marker studios have a cut on, EDIT: The move is set for him to create his own studio & to help upcoming rising YouTuber's under his set company, this will be a great benefit for those who are being slaughtered by those who are under unfair studio contracts, RWJ also did this & later he had to allegedly drop off his channel, Wonder what's gonna happen to pewds if he goes with this decision.. Pewds shared his recent brush with the marker studio , Pewds criticized the big MCNs for being inhospitable to the average YouTuber, For instance , Disney recently sent over a bunch of people dressed as Stormtroopers to make a video together with pewds as in for a charity event . they got upset when they found out that there was no specific room for them to change clothes. And then, they didn’t agree to do basically anything in the video because it was not OK with “The Star Wars universe.” It all turned into chaos and it took a very long time. Finally, we ended up with something that they were going to edit but it was so bad I had to do it over and edit it myself. Furthermore, I don’t want Pewdiepie to be some kind of trademark that I lose control over… Interview was done by the icon magazine (cover below) Read the whole article @ http://iconmagazine.se/artiklar/stories-in-english/powerful-swede-world-3/ Lots & lots of extra stuff with extra indepth interview from the ground up.. When asked whether he'd make anything with his name as a brand he responded.. The network’s contract with Felix turned out to be impossible on a legal level too, as it tied him to the network for life. It took Felix hiring his own lawyer and then half a year of legal work to free himself from the network. Leave your thoughts & comments beloowwwww.... http://pulse2.com/2014/10/03/youtube-star-pewdiepie-plans-to-create-his-own-network-113176/ Bonus:

As the title says this is an AMA. I have been a big PewDiePie fan for quite around two years now (not before he became popular just long enough to know that I like most of his content), and I always see hate for him everywhere; can I do anything to clear up (or validate) misconceptions (or truths) about his content?

Source: http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2014/08/26/pewdiepie-made-skate-3-popular-ea-started-reprinting-game Soo yeah. Apparently, since PewDiePie played Skate 3 on his channel, the demand for the four year old game has been so big, that EA felt it necessary to start printing it again... So, I know that you peeps might not like him, but I think it is pretty darn amazing, that a series of YouTube videos can have such an impact... Like, that game is four years old, man! EDIT: This is not supposed to be a "I h4te Poodiepaj so muchhhzzzz" thread

Many YouTubers including PewDiePie, NerdCubed, TotalBiscuit and Boogie2988 are disabling there comments section as of today in Protest of the new Google+ integration. Here is a video Boogie made on the matter: Some youtubers will be providing alternative methods of commenting via reddit or elsewhere.

Recently,an article on wjs.com was talking about how much money does pewdiepie earn. It mentioned the amount of 4 million dollars(!!) per year. Of course, everyone said that these are just speculations. But just a while ago, pewdiepie mentioned at his twitter that he was going to do a Q&A on reddit. And of course someone asked him this question and he actually answered! And that was in 2013. IMO this amount is gonna grow and grow same as his subscribers, and the sub growth rate is insane!
