Please help!! specs: Ryzen 5 3600 AMD Radeon rx 5500xt corsair cv550 psu B450 aorus elite v2 team group gx2 512gb ssd corsair vengeance 3600mhz16gb ram My pc used to work perfectly fine before I had a problem where it would restart everytime I would login, I then reinstalled windows onto it and it worked fine, I left it on a clean install of windows for around 5 minutes while I took out the trash and came back to it showing a black screen, mnk were both off yet the pc was on, it wasnt in sleep mode either, I attempted to restart it multiple times and nothing worked, I assumed it was the motherboard and shipped it in with the RMA process. I just got it back and the pc wont post, sometimes it will boot into bios and it will say that the bios has been updated and reset and everytime I press “ok” my screen goes black and mnk both turn off, my motherboard then shows a red led on dram. Most of the time I cant even get it to post, sometimes my keyboard is on but my mouse only comes on for the short time I enter bios my pc was only working for a few weeks before these problems surfaced, motherboard has newest bios installed, I wasnt able to install the drivers for my graphics card however as I had just installed a fresh install of windows, im willing to answer any and all questions, please help, im 16 and I bought this pc with my own money and I just want it to work again.

For the past week or so I've been having performance issues with my PC, I tried fixing it by doing everything software related I could and noticed my ram (I have two sticks of 4GB) was always at 40-50% usage, even when I wasn't playing anything. So, I rather stupidly took the matter into my own hands. About two days ago, I moved my PC onto my kitchen table, opened it and gave it a dust inside. I then proceeded to remove the ram and clean it with a lens cleaner. When I put the ram back and tried to launch my computer all that would happen is that my fans would come on (much faster than usual) for about 10 seconds, turn off and then come back on again. There is no output to the monitor. I borrowed a friend's stick of RAM and my PC still wouldn't boot so I am unsure of what the issue is. Also, it's probably worth mentioning that I am very inexperienced in the world of PC building and had a friend build my computer, otherwise I wouldn't be on this forum. For this same reason, I am hesitant to remove any other parts of my computer as I wouldn't want to complicate the situation. All I have touched is the RAM. I have tried many different configurations of both sets of RAM and yet, no luck. I ought to add that the issue is not with the monitor, the way the fans turn on is very unusual so there is clearly an issue within the computer itself. PLEASE HELP, Henry For reference, my PC components: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/ykywxG

So today I was trying to watch youtube while doing my homework and all of a sudden, my computer just froze, I wasn't able to move my mouse or do anything so I decided to turn of my computer. The power button did not work when I tried to turn it off so I turned it off via the power supply. When I turned it back on (Using the power button) my monitor was receiving no signal. I've tried unplugging and plugging my HDMI cable and tested it on another device so I'm sure my monitor or cable are causing any problems, i've also tried reseating my RAM and GPU but that did not help either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have had my computer for a couple of months now and today it was unable to boot. It was working not even 6 hours ago. Now, whenever I boot it gets stuck on the white QLED but everything turns on (fans, lights, peripherals, etc.) Although there is no video and the Qled doesn't go to green. Any tips or help would be appreciated. Order is the following: orange, red, white, then white and green. Already tried different GPU, Resetting CMOS, and taking out 1 stick of ram at a time. I've been having system instability for as long as I remember and I believe it may have started when I dtarted using multiple different components in my pc, including my psu. Almost every single component has been changed since then. Cpu, motherboard and Ram are new, gpu was changed about 2 or three years back and never saw signs it had any problems. Psu unchanged. It's a Zalman zm500-LE. Instability symptoms are as follows: random Freezing, pc won't boot to get motheroard splash screen, or gets past it but won't boot to windows. The only things unchanged are the hard drives. The windows is on my 120gb kingson ssd, but I checked it's health on crystal disk and it was good (91% good is what it read). And if it won't boot to windows (which is the most common symptom) the motherboard usually reads the hard drives. I used to falsely believe the problem was with the SATA cables even tho I changed them multiple times completely and swap them together whenever something. This was because sometimes a hard drive would disappear from file explorer while the pc was running. I'd restart and it would either work or the pc won't boot, I'd swal the cables and it worked but later I discocered pressing the switch on the psu did the trick. This was until recently where it just froze a couple of times on different days and just won't boot to windows after multiple attempts. Right now it's bricked and sometimes it gets to the windows logo and loading circle but loads forever, and doesn't show that it's repairing something in the drive so I don't think that's the case. Just recently I found out a pin is missing, could this be the problem? Or is the psu just crappy? Or is it something completely different? Specs: Ryzen 7 3700x 1060 GALAX 3GB OC X470 strix-f ROG 16gb 320pmhz ram Zalman zm500-LE 120gb SSD 1tb WD HDD blue 7200 rpm 2tb WD HDD green 5400 rpm TL;DR I've had system instability (usually freezed or system won't boot to windows) for years and swapped out all compononets except psu and hard drives. I discovered a missing pin in the 24 pin connector. The quick fix I found was was turning off the psu and starting it again. Where is the problem?

Hello, I don't know what happened to my PC it was working fine, I was playing GTA V, and all of a sudden it froze and I got a blue screen and as far as i remember it this was written "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL." So it restarted again and i got another blue screen i can't remember what it said, this time it restarted and gave me this blue screen as it shown below, so i pressed enter nothing happened, i press f1 I can't remember what it gave me so after that i pressed Esc and it gave me a black screen and it says "initializing boot..." or something like that at the end it said press ctr+s so I did, nothing happened so i held down the power button to restart again, because i figured maybe it froze again, after i turned the PC back on the PC was running, all the fans were spinning but the monitor, the mouse and the keyboard had no signal, i looked everywhere for a solution, nothing worked, i thought maybe its a graphic card issue, so i removed it and connected the HDMI to the motherboard it didn't work, I removed the battery from the motherboard to clear C-mos because i thought it might be a bois issue as some video suggested, also didn't work, i checked if the ram sticks was seated properly it was (I did not take them off though just pressed on them to see if they're seated properly.) Can someone please help me with this issue, because i really don't know what to do! So I turned on my PC and it booted all fine into the windows lock screen. Then when I pressed my space bar to prompt it to show the password entry area nothing happend. I pressed it again and then my PC just shut down like I had held down the power button. Now when I press the power button and turn it on my fans turn on and are on low speed, my rgb turns on on my ram, gpu, cpu cooler and case and the DRAM_LED is a solid red. I have tried shuting off the power supply and leaving it for 30 mins and trying again. I booted with one stick of ram in and tryed it with 2 sticks of some other ram I had but nothing has worked. Ive also tried every display output on my gpu and mobo with differnt screens. I need this pc for most of my school work and really dont want it to be a case of it dying. Motherboard: Strix X99 GamingCPU: Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-ECooling: Tt Water 3.0 240RAM: HyperX Black 64 GB 2133MHzGPU: EVGA 970 SC HDD: WD 1TB SATA 7200 Rpm SDD: Samsung 850 Pro 256GB 2.5inch SATA III Cases: Tt T81 PSU: CX750M(Was working now won't work) Tt TP DPSG RGB 1250W(Not Working)Keyboard: K70 Rapid FireMouse: Razor Naga(Will use the Corsair Scimitar once I get this PC running and RGB synced) Headset: Astro A50Screen: Pb287q BUT I'll be using this little vizo for ease of access and troubleshooting. I built my first PC by watching as a blueprint. First time builder and surprisingly no issues what so EVER. So I started to enjoy watching the WAN show on twitch and watching LinusTechTips in 4k with my newly built PC. One day I decided to upgrade my rig because why not and feelsgoodman.(RGB and possible sli down the road). So when I built this the T81 case I saw could support two 200mm fans up top and two 200mm fans in the front, linked here; http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00002239 Cool, worked great. I also saw that it could support three 120mm fans up top and three 120mm fans in the front which means more rgb options hence Riing fans. Also I saw the new Tt TP RGB 1250W which had a Riing fan built inside of it and also had this cool smart power management app I thought was cool so I decided to upgrade to the Three 120mm fans top & side as well as get the 1250 PSU. Parts come in from amazon. Using an anti-static wrist strap I replace everything I was upgrading. "Cool, I'm finished." I said "Now time to turn on the power!!" I plug the PSU into the outlet then switch on the power switch. I see the motherboard light up hence the PCI slots and the LED's hence the motherboard getting power. I get my hopes up. "Hell yes!" I said "Is building PC's this freaking easy?!" I thought to my self. Confident as ever because I have not experienced a PC problem yet and wanted to keep my undefeated streak going Like a UFC fighter for example. With high hopes I attempt to turn on the PC for the first time. I press the power button on the case and I see all my newly RGB fans light up I jerk off in my head for a split second and..... BOOOOM I got knocked the freak out with this feeling in my stomach that I was no longer undefeated in my no errors PC streak so far. The PC pulsed on with the fans running(Lights Up) for a split second and cuts off as mentioned in my buddy Denis's build; Except my motherboard was still getting power hence the LED's and PCIe Slots but then I saw something terrible on my motherboard.... The red pled1 popped up after the no post. In denial I thought "Pff the computer gods are messing with me PFFF" So I pressed the power switch on the PSU the lights go off on the motherboard and wait 30 seconds and try again. Same thing happened. Pissed, it finally set in that I would be not be undefeated so I thought really hard about what to do. "Hmm.." I thought "Let me try the forums Linus and Luke are always talking about on their videos." *Note Where I'm at now; I tried putting my old power supply the CX750M back in and tried booting it and same thing happened except this time the red Pled1 light didn't show up. Put the 1250W back in the case. Reading random forums online(Red Pled1 google search) I thought it was the motherboard so I RMA and got a new one. Same boot problem with new motherboard. My return for my processor expired so I ended up buying a new 5820k and the same boot problem happened. I was going to RMA the 1250W but I bought it when It first came out and was sitting in the box until I got more parts for my upgrade and by then the RMA expired so it could very well be the PSU. Do I regret re buying the Processor. NO it actually made me realize how important a test bench is and will be part of a new build later. The funny thing is I tried the paper clip test on the Cx750M and the fan was spinning and worked fine but when I try to put it in the motherboard it will power on the motherboard just like the 1250W except it won't display the red Pled1 like the 1250W will. What I think it is; Reading Denis's thread I think it could very well be the PSU but my CX750M was working fine before I upgraded the fans so I also think the case with new fan setup is possibly shorting it out. i don't see how tho because everything seems plugged in correctly. I read the troubleshooting sticky and I did everything except check the ram because PFF why would my ram get messed up I was using an anti-static wrist strap and I saw this video from Linus; I think I'm going to attempt to do this outside of the case because maybe the case is shorting it out. Linus or Luke PLEASE HELP!!

Hey guys, About two month ago i build a rig for my sister, sporting a FX 8300 on an old ASRock mainbord. We installed a used Nvidea 650 that she got from a friend, with the aim to upgrade to my ASUS r9 380 Strix when i got my RX 480 Nitro. One month ago, i went on a two week trip, and thinking "well she could have my card in her rig for the time" i put my 380 into her rig, just to be greeted by an beepcode saying that the vram was malfunctioning. But in my rig it works still perfectly... so i thought, well the Mainboard&BIOS might be so old (from 2009 or something like that) that it can't handle the 4gb of vram... So we got the new ASRock AM3+ Board, that was released this year. we mounted the processor, ram and the r9 380 and looked, if it woulod post, in order to check if the new MB would work with the card. And it worked... Today, after putting the just arrrived RX480 in my rig i wanted to upgrade hers to the r3 380. Well, this time i got just 5 short beep, meaning that the CPU had a problem... but after putting the 650 back in, it worked fine with the Nvidea card... I hope someone can help me getting her rig to work with the r9 380... greets JD_Tiger

Hey forum users, I have recently (last week) bought a new PC of the following specs. - Case: BitFenix Prodigy M - Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Gene - Power Supply: Corsair RM650 Modular 80+ Gold - RAM: Ripjaw Trident X 2400 Mhz - CPU: i5 4670K (stock speeds for now) - GPU: Asus GTX 780 Direct CU II - Storage: Intel 530 240GB SSD (getting WD Black 2TB soon) - OS: Windows 8.1 64 - bit. Here is my problem. Last night I was playing on my PC and randomly my PC turned off. Wasn't a shut down that safely closed down Windows. But just lost power. Ever since then my PC has not started. It wasn't a power outage at my house because only my PC lost power, nor was it a brown out (as far as I know). I don't understand why it suddenly cut out. It was running for a week without any issues. Then suddenly this happens. The motherboard and GPU lights are on so I know they are getting power. Ever since then my PC won't start. I push the power button and it gets power for like 1/2 a second then stops. The fans begin to spin for that time. After I flick the power switch off the power supply it does it again. I have tried the following: - Ensure all motherboard connectors are firmly in place. And in the power supply. - Switch power supply on and off. - Change RAM slots. - Tried booting up without GPU power in. - Ensuring the power cables are all plugged in. - Leaving the power supply off for a while. Same with leaving it on for a while and coming back. - Using the onboard power button on the motherboard. - Using a metal object to put in the power button area on the motherboard to boot up from there. - Made sure that the power plug is in the wall and switched on. Same with the case extension cable for the power supply. Nothing seemed to have work. I am thinking the power supply maybe died? Thanks for reading. And I appreciate any suggestions. Cheers guys.
