Okay so I keep hearing similar answers so I'm hoping some new eyes on the situation other than my own and my buddies will help. The short of it is after streaming for a few minutes the audio stops working and just makes clicks or audio spikes every couple of seconds. It does this on 3 different recording softwares. First thing to recognize is I know this system is outdated. It's a hand-me-down to my buddy. Second, this worked for months and only recently stopped. System information: AMD FX 8350 4.0 ghz Wraith cooler Msi 970a-g43 plus Asus radeon HD7770 2gb 250gb sandisk ssd 750w thermaltake psu To reiterate, I used this computer with a rx480 for streaming without a cap card and for recording and it worked fine. I swapped out my old hd7770 when I gave it to him because he got a cap card and wanted to stream smash. He successfully used it for months and it started having this issue. Many people have said the system can't handle it but it recorded fine for years and months with the current hardware. The unit records fine but after a range of 30 seconds to 5 minutes the audio starts spiking. I've swapped the graphics card back to the 480 to see if it was the card and it worked fine. We replaced the cap card (elgato hd60+.) The hardware isn't maxing out it's barely at 40%. I've tried reinstalling my drivers but not fully uninstalling like I saw on a video. We've tried changing hard drives minimizing settings. And a number of other things. I was hoping someone else has had this issue or maybe give me some ideas. I'm constantly trouble shooting because my buddy doesn't have much computer knowledge and my knowledge is just building the old computer and my new one. With watching linus and a few others over the years. I feel like I'm letting my friend down so any help would be great. Thanks in advance If you're asking for logs and stuff some light instructions would help as I'm not very knowledgeable on how to get those.

There's even a backpack available for your ROG notebook. And their enthusiasm is not limited to present-day technologies. Today, ASUS revealed their new ROG IDE cables. John Trent, ROG representative, tells us: "We want enthusiasts to be able to build complete ROG setups. The technology is outdated, but hell, we released ROG SLI bridges not to long ago. We don't care." ASUS claims that these special cables can achieve transfer rates of up to 170 MB/s by the use of ultra clean and smooth copper, taking gaming to the next level. However, installing the cable the right way around is important. "Every cable, before receiving the ROG logo, is installed and tested for performance to determine the best direction of installation. Once it's determined, they print the ROG insignia on the motherboard side of the cable." And consumer feedback appears to prove them right. In many online shops, the cable was sold out only a few hours after release.

Hey sorry if someone has already asked about this or a like topic but I wasn't able to find much on the matter. I am currently building a daily driver for myself and it is with server parts that I'm not super familiar with. I am wondering if I have 2 xeon x5690 procs would it be worth while to max out my board's ram at 128 or should I not bother. I've found the ram that I want in a pack of (8x16gb) for about 295USD. I think that this is a fairly good deal but even so as far as gaming goes is this even necessary or should I stick with a smaller amount? Thanks!

Can anyone suggest me a budget board that supports Intel I5 or I7 3rd gen processors which must have 4 ram slots so that I can utilize all 32GB of ram compatibility mentions by Intel. And with 6Gbps port + USB 3.0 will is also preferable. Im in India and I do find some but sellers are not ready to ship here. If you think I'm stupid please ignore ?

I have an old AMD block heatsink and I was wondering if there were any good uses for it other than a heatsink, or is it just scrap aluminium?

Hello everyone. I have a R9 270X and i have low FPS in most games, I've looked at AB and it's only using 1-17% activity, i've bench marked the GPU and it's used 100% of it, so i can't say it's a power problem. my GPU temperature is at 49C when playing most games and my CPU is at 27-37C (45C at max usage) My PC specs are: CPU: 1045T 6core 2.7GHz Ram: 8GB 1866 GPU: R9 270X 4G PSU: 600W RX-600AF-B Mobo: Ta970 HD: 1TB SSHD (for games), and 300GB HDD(OS) Case: DIYPC Solo-T1-R Black OS: Windows 10 64-bit Currently running at: Power limit: +10 Core Clock: 1050MHz Memory Clock: 1500MHz Playing arma 3, i get 8-23FPS on lowest and ultra settings (720p) GTA 5, i get about 30-58FPS on ultra settings (720p) minecraft, lol. 200+ (720p) CS:GO over 60FPS max settings. (720p) I've tryed 1080P (current screen dosent support 1080P it's blury AF) Things i have tryed: *reinstalling windows (twice) *Using latest / older version of ALL drivers *After burner (to disable powerplay, well at-least i tryed) *Radeon Pro (errors) *another monitor and HDMI cable. Things i havent tryed: *Putting the OS on the same drive as the games. Currently idle not doing anything, my "Pagefile usage" is at 11921 Another thing to note is when i'm paying arma 3, and i'm getting 10-20 fps my frame time is at 50+ and GPU activity is at 1-35% (hovers mostly around 15-23%) All i would like to do is play games at 60+ FPS and enjoy it. I'm almost willing to do anything.

Hey guys, I built my PC in June 2014 on a $1200 budget. I was a noob at PC hardware then and just getting into LTT. My specs are in my signature if you want to look Anyways, my question: Is the GTX 660 outdated at this point? It does what I need, but if not now, when should I update my graphics card. Also, My friend mentioned that a GTX 980 might not actually fit into my case... Lol it makes me worried that I might not be able to actually upgrade anytime soon. Thoughts?

I'm going to buy a laptop and I fear that if I spend 1K on it, the graphics card or the CPU will be useless in a year. Should I get a high-end graphics card, CPU, or other component to to make sure that doesn't happen? If so, what should that part be?

As of now I am in need of a new phone more than anything else. As of now I have a $20 phone from k-mart, the Kyocera Hydro. I know, it's bad. It struggles just while just using the internet and even snapchat. I've had it for 5 months and it HAS to go. So I have decided that I need a phone more than I need a rig. I hate having to say that but it's true, I am going to be doing a lot of traveling and now I have decided on a phone that I need advice on. The Samsung Galaxy S3. Yes it's older, but for it's age it's still a great phone. I can get a brand new one from boost mobile for $300, leaving me $20 for my new rig. But I have a job with my parents and somewhere else, so getting back to $300 wont be hard at all. Back on topic, the s3 is the only phone I pretty much have to choose from boost mobile because I am NOT buying an iPhone. So, is the S3 100% acceptable for it's performance and features considering it's age? The phone has to last me for the next year until I upgrade again. I will be putting a waterproof case on it and probably a 32gb SD card. Any opinions/suggestions are welcomed.
